      Thoughts When Attempting to WILD

I think this is a very common question that hasn't been answered.

What do you think of before you enter SP? I've seen answers saying "I am asleep." Telling me to count my breaths, saying, think nothing at all.

What do I do while in SP? Do I think of anything? Do I just watch?

Could someone who has been successful many times with WILDing, please answer these questions?

Before SP I like to let my mind wonder. I just think about anything that comes to mind. I don't really focus much on my thoughts though. I often jump from one thought to another in the matter of seconds. I don't bother with any counting or mantras, but it seems to work well for others.

During SP, I just passively watch/listen to the HI/HH. Just try to remain as calm as possible and don't focus on anything really. I just wait it out and before long I am in my dream.

      This.

For me though Muggler...post-WBTB, I will let my mind chatter for 10 - 15 minutes (if that long) and just wait until HI/HH begins before I start mentally embedding my affirmations and counting.

"1...I remain consciously aware as my body falls to sleep...2...I remain consciously aware as my body falls to sleep...3...I remain consciously aware as my body falls to sleep..." etc.

For me, when it comes to SP, it's easier to board a moving train that's going somewhere as opposed to hopping on a stationery one and hoping it moves. What I mean by that is that I hear many people saying "I lied in bed for 1 hour+ trying to WILD but eventually gave up and went to sleep." I don't understand this because the process of WILD'ing is about GOING to sleep in the first place. Therefore why they choose to keep themselves awake is beyond me. That's what I mean by hopping on board a stationery train.

I'll let myself enter HI/HH before proceeding to embed my affirmations and start counting because that's when the "train" is already moving and that's when I hop on board it so that my consciousness carries over into the sleep state.

I use counting and affirmations because counting helps me maintain clarity (the higher the number you count to isn't so much important as how long it takes you before you find you've shifted...whether that number is at 100 or 20) and affirmations embed my intents directly into the subconscious mind during the alpha state (light sleep).

Using this combination, I rarely fail. Consistency is key.

      so you do fall asleep?

is that why i knda jolt up (not physically but mentally) and it feels like i woke up?
this happened today as i attempted a WILD. it was like i was asleep, but when a "dream" would end i would "wake up" and enter another one.

      is that supposed to happen?
