Just double checking. (You guessed it, more WILD Q's 8D )

Heya, I know this forum is flooded with WILD questions 24/7, but I just wanted to check that I've been doing things right so far. I sorta adapted things to what I think is still correct.

My typical WILD attempts go about like this...

1.) Go to bed, sleep for about 5-6 hours. Wake up, use bathroom, grab get a little something to drink, etcetc...

2.) Alright, now that I'm concious enough not to fall back to sleep immediately, I lay down and just relax for a few moments, get settled, clear my head, and let the fun begin.

3.) At this point, I spend what, I think, is roughly 10-15 minutes quieting my thoughts.

4.) About this time, I sorta turn my attention inwards, and this is where it gets kinda hard to explain. I focus on sorta the center of my mind, and get this feeling of being inside myself/conciousness or something.

Anyway, I ultimately do this because I hit that tingly/buzzy/vibrating stage within 5-10 minutes. Which, I hear, is a good thing. Not SP though, I don't think I experience that.

5.) After I get to the global vibrating/tingling sensation, I was originally under the impression that you just waited passively as HI occured and you were pulled into the dream. But, I was talking in chat today, and was told that I should be actively imagining a dreamscape throughout the entire process and pulling myself into it over time.

(also read that you weren't supposed to move your eyes either, which is extremely difficult for me if I'm actively trying to imagine/envision something)

Just wanted to get some thoughts/corrections on what I've been doing so far. Thanks.

      Rawr!

I passively sit through the HI during the WILD process. This allows me to enter my dream naturally. If you realize that you have been in SP for an unusually long period of time, you can try to "grab hold" of the imagery and immerse yourself in it. I personally, have much more success calmly and passively enjoying HI during WILD attempts. Just see what works best for you! Remember there are unlimited methods/techniques to becoming lucid, at some point you will probably invent your own variation. Good Luck!

Your routine sounds fine. Remember, it can be very difficult to WILD st first. WILDing (to me anyway) seems to get easier and easier the more WILDs I have!

Yours pretty much sounds like mine. I'll get to this stage where everything like feels weird, something I really can't just "think" I'm having...but it's not SP because I can get out of it too fast after sitting there for an hour frustrated. That's about as far as I ever get.

early this morning after about 7-8 hours sleep (mite have been too much) woke up, checked my emails and burned about 10 mins, went back to practice WILDing.

stayed in bed till i felt some type of vibration but it stopped quickly, then started again, then stopped, then i fell asleep :s
