      Dream inside a dream...

Well, last night i had a curious experience.

I was dreaming and i dreamt that i was going to my bed and going to try to WILD. Basically it was like in reality when you are wilding and get the HH. In the end of the attempt i tried to get out of my bed on a LD but i wasn't lucid anywhere in the process.

I've been trying a lot the WILD technique lately. Could this be related to that?

I wonder in case i had succeeded if it would have passed as a normal WILD. Basically it would be the same, right? I would have done the technique but instead of being awake at the onset of it i would already be in a dream and i supose i would be able to get lucid in that dream.

Has this ever happened to anyone of you? What do you think about this?

I guess that you would call it meta-dreaming? While I haven't dreamt of dreaming before (or even WILDed successfully,) I have done several things related to the subject while dreaming. I've dreamt of writing in my DJ, and I've remembered the content of one dream while within one, which spurred my lucidity.

      This belongs in Lucid Experiences
Haven't had a lucid dream in 3 years, and I'm looking to get back into it.

Hmm. Not sure but i don't think so. What i experienced was in a non-lucid dream and was a WILD like experience although it wasn't nothing other than a normal dream but it simulated a real WILD very well. I think it fits well inside the WILD section.

Btw, odd nonposter i also experience that writing in DJ while dreaming before. It was strange as well ^^.

Hey, that's hilarious that you had a dream about WILD'ing but never became lucid. I had a non-lucid dream that was talking with someone about lucid dreaming before.

Don't worry about if anything "passed" as anything. No one is grading you! If you succeeded in WILD'ing in a dream, I'd probably classify it as a DILD, but it doesn't really matter!

You dreamed of this because you have been thinking about WILD's a lot in waking life, which is a great sign! Good job!

I never had an experience quite like that, but I have gone to sleep in dreams, had a dream, and woken up still in the first dream.

I have also gone to sleep in dreams and stopped dreaming.

I have also meditated in dreams, and done remote viewing in dreams.

I have also had FA's then went back to sleep, and continued the same dream (usually an nightmare.)
