      Anyone had this problem?

Anyone ever had a SP that was so uncomfortable that it prevented you from completing a WILD?

I got woke up around noon by some banging noises (construction near my place). I went to the washroom and decided, heck, I'm up, I might as well attempt a WILD (I threw my ear plugs again, so the banging wouldn't disturb me).

After maybe 30 minutes to an hour, I'm not sure how long, because you're not supposed to move everytime I felt my SP kicking in, it got unbearably hot. Like it's 90 effing degrees farenheit outside and I'm sleeping under two heavy comforters kind of hot (it's actually about 40 degrees F). Then, my pillows started to feel rock hard. My neck started to hurt and my head hurt. I tried to ignore it and a couple of dreamlets passed, but I started getting desperate for that big "wave" evildoctor was telling me about. One dreamlet went passed that might have actually been a decent wave, but not recognizing it, I let it go.

This made me more desperate, because during the dreamlets, I felt comfortable. Once they passed, I got unbearably hot again. After that, the tinnitis kicked in. So now I'm hot, stiff necked and I have loud ringing in my ear.

I gave up and rolled over. I threw my blanket off me. SP kicked in pretty fast and I felt a little drifty, but even without blankets on, I was so hot. Pillows still felt hard and i had flipped them.

I started to see this dreamlet which felt like I was slowly traveling down this dark, cool cave with a bright light at the end. Travelling so slowly. I kept counting, but it helped keep things stable. I felt like I had a group of people around me.

Finally reached the light, and it quite literally burst open into a bright, sunny flower field, a la Final Fantasy 8.

I really liked this little dreamlet, so I decided to focus on the deep blue sky. It started fading. I decided to try to keep it sensory. I laid back in the grass and felt the wind on my face. The sky got dark, like it was night. I still didn't have a strong hold so I looked at the moon. It was a bright and perfectly round like a pearl. I stared at it. I felt the heat from my SP rising up around me again, cutting off the dreamlet. It was so unbearable again, with the heat and the pain from my retardedly rock hard pillows (which have never felt like this to me before). Aaaaand then the dreamlet faded out. I decided to check my watch. 2 hours gone! /sigh

      yep.

Dream night before last... I WILD and materialize in front of a little dark-haired child on a swingset.. I'm kneeling down in front of him I think... he's talking gibberish... I then realized that "ahh... I'm dreaming.".. so then I go to hug the kid.. I do, but wake up. *sigh*

honestly for me I think it was just the excitement that I pulled off a WILD from being awake from the day, and actually went straight into a dream (or at least, it had felt like I was JUST wilding and now I see this little kid on a swingset, so exciting)

i think that was actually my first successful WILD without a WBTB. gotta add that to the sig!

I've had extremely uncomfortable SP many times before. Sometimes, instead of focusing on rolling out for my WILD, I try to visualize myself standing in a dream where I want to be. It doesn't always help, but a lot of the time I'll suddenly be in the dream and the SP will be gone.

I actually did try that. I was thinking about standing on the moon, cos in my mind, it'd be a lot cooler up there.

That where I got into the cave/flower field dreamlet instead.
