Trying to get my first WILD

I have DILD'ed about 20 times and I think i've DEILD'ed once and have no problem staying lucid but I want to learn how to WILD now

I was hoping to WBTB because I can wake up in the middle of the night if I want and I was wondering how long to wait after getting up.I am trying reverse blinking and how often should I reverse blink and how long to keep my eyes open. Can I try it on my side? If I get to SP I think I could do it from there. Oh and how long should it be before I go back to sleep after that?

If you can become aware enough of your surroundings, awake enough, and can do simple math, I'd say you're ready to get back to bed.

Oh, and check out this graph if you want to see what position to sleep in: http://watarts.uwaterloo.ca/~acheyne/preven1.gif . Supine (on your back) position is the best, but you can try in any position.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

That graph has no context and is therefore useless. On top of that you aren't ever shooting for sleep paralysis when you WILD, and if you are, you're doing it wrong. From what that graph shows, with no further context, it actually seems that the sleeping on your right side is the best for WILDing.

Regardless, you can sleep in any position you want. Read that as: sleep in whatever position you normally fall asleep in.

The best state of mind for WILD, that I've found, is being tired, yet not groggy. That means you should still be wanting to sleep at a base level, but should be awake enough to have a mostly clear head.

For RBing, you should open your eyes and close them again in the same time it would take you to close your eyes and open them again when you blink normally. The trick, though, is focusing your vision in that fraction of a second. You don't have to focus on anything in particular, a spot on the wall or ceiling will suffice, but you do need to try and focus on something. If you can't control your focus that well, you can open your eyes for a bit longer, if needed, but try to keep it as "natural" as possible.

RBing should be done in intervals (I do one every 5 seconds or so) and should be continued until you lack the will to do it anymore. That means you should RB until you reach a point where opening your eyes seems tedious or impossible.

      Hope that helped.
