      Ok this is what I'll do tonight (need some help aswell)

      I'll be going to sleep at 00:00, and waking myself by my alarm at 5:00am.

      Whilst I'm going to sleep at 12, do I have to say anything in my mind like "im going to have a lucid dream" or do I have that until after.

      Also, when I wake up at 5am, what do I do? Do I go back to sleep right away or do I research about lucid dreaming etc? And when I do go back to sleep should I count by going (breathe in "i am dreaming, i will be in my dream, i will be lucid dreaming" breath out)

      I'm actually excited but quite scared, lol. I've had SP before and yeah, it sucks big time.

      If you're planning to WILD, then I've found it most important to strengthen my intent in the space between sleeping 5-6hrs and bridging waking-consciousness to dream-consciousness. Prior to this just intend to recall your dream and actually wake up at 5am!

      Wake at 5am. I usually stay awake for an 45mins--1hr. Read about lucids (heightens objective awareness), set a dream goal, eat a banana with a cup of green tea. Set your intent and focus on a anchor.

      Setting an intent is a pointless task unless your in the right state . You need to be listening to yourself -- find a way of reaching a non-pressured, peaceful/mindful space (e.g. relaxation techniques), and then set your intent. Good luck! Nowt to fear.

      Ok so I shouldn't keep telling myself in my mind that I'm going to be dreaming and I'm going to be lucid?

      I'm gonna wake up at 5am, try to remember my dream and write it in my DJ, then I'll read about lucid dreaming for around an hour, then go to sleep without telling myself im going to be dreaming etc? Just go straight to sleep

      Im scared I'll wake up and be shocked and start hyperventilating lol

      No don't "go straight to sleep".

      Think more about setting an ANCHOR, something to focus on while consciousness bridgeing. This may be a mantra (repeatedly telling yourself something), but I prefer a white noise (I use a phone application). Soon enough you'll be seeing hynogogic imagery. Remain relaxed, observe, and wait.

      This is a good reference for WILDs:

      kk, so should I repeatedly tell myself "I'm going to be lucid"?

      And what do you mean by hynogogic imagery, I get scared really easily lol

      Yo Chris, have you read the above link? Just pick a method and keep it simple, dude.

      Try using the Search function/Google for hynogogics.

      If I were you I'd work on that fear of yours. It'll only get in the way

      After hynagogics, and before you start LDing.

      FYI: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=65007

      PARALYSIS!!!!! Scared? read this

      And remember this:
      1. Sleep paralysis cannot hurt you;
      2. Sleep paralysis is necessary for some LD methods;
      3. You may pass through sleep paralysis without feeling it.
