      Was this SP, or...?

Last night, I went to bed at around 9:20 PM because I was a little more tired than normal, but not by much.

I was in bed, completely still and relaxed for 8 minutes. Then, I suddenly felt what sounded like a cross between a light bulb burning out, and a whirring sound. I also saw a circular blob of white light in the corner of my eye on the left. It surprised me so much, I moved. I didn't feel paralyzed or anything, though - I just saw the light and heard the noise.

Is it possible this was SP? Or was it just in my head?
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Sounds more like HI to me, but I have had no experience with SP at all so try and get a second opinion. I feel nothing when I get into SP.

I've heard that HI doesn't just happen during SP, but that it can also happen before you enter SP.
The next time something odd happens, I think the more experienced members would suggest you to just lie still and passively listen/watch, then dream scenes should start to form.

      - Flight and other super powers
      - Use lucid dreaming as a study-aid
      - Personal development, inner peace etc

I have pre-sp HI and post-sp HI. The post-sp HI is more vivid of the 2.
And now.. for a Stephen Strutmeyer Film...

Huh. Yeah, I guess since I didn't expect to enter SP or see HI, I just jolted myself out of it. Next time I'll stay still.
