      Napping

I was just wondering how quickly I should be able to enter into a dream while WILDing during a nap. I've heard several times that naps are insta-REM deals and I've tried to WILD before but they've always been half-assed attempts. Today, I was quite tired so I tried it one more time. I haven't tried to WILD in a looooong time.

Anyway, I lay down on my couch and closed my eyes. After about 2 minutes I felt the tingling sensation of SP. What's weird is that that the tingling usually lasts for 10 minutes, but this time it went almost straight to numbness. Soon after that, a blue field filled my mind. (Normally it starts with random shapes) After a bit of focusing and controlling the field, it started to take on a pattern. It took me a few minutes to realize it was grass! :O I stared at the grass and watched it fill my mind and start changing from blue to green but I had 2 problems: Background noise and my god damn eye. A TV going in the other room was playing a basketball game quite loudly, and my eye wanted to open. Badly. It twitched uncontrollably. Then, someone in my house playing a game and calling bullshits woke me up. I was so mad that I lost it that I couldn't focus on anything and ended up just napping.

Now, does it normally happen that fast when you nap? It was amazing! I might deliberately not get enough sleep just to nap-WILD if it does.

      Thanks all

To prevent those distractions, why not you get a sleeping mask and earplugs. Last time, I napped, the numbness started around 15 minutes, so I guess so. Myself, I usually try to WILD during nap times or before going to sleep. It works but I get scared when the auditory hallucinations start to kick up and I wake myself.
