How long does SP take before you can enter a dream?

Hey guys, been trying to WILD for a few nights now and I've came the closest to becoming fully lucid using the WILD technique instead of the DILD. Just wondering how long it takes the whole Sleep Paralysis process to ride out before you can just "step into a dream." ??

      Thanks!
Think slowly; focus as the fireworks become a looking glass, step through to awaken to the cycle of awakening.

It can take a long time, depending on how much you slept before and if you hit your REM-Cycle. A hint: Try WILDing at day, around 2:00/3:00 PM, it is a lot easier for me then. And remember, time can feel like hours when you are lying there, waiting for SP, but don't give up
A good method to keep your brain active is presented by Clairity in her WILD-Tutorial. She suggests to go through the alphabet and thinking about something at each letter. Like "a like abraham lincoln, imagine him, b like bomb, imagine a bomb" and so on.
Her WILD-Tutorial is worth reading anyway
But First of all I would try to WILD at day, as I said before, for me it is a lot easier than WILDing at night

      Good Luck

Once you actually enter SP, it generally doesn't take too much longer to transition into the dream state. Usually 1-5 minutes. The hardest part is actually getting to SP in the first place, which can take a long time depending on your situation. Once in SP, instead of making something happen...just let it happen. Basically, allow your body to transition on its own and don't worry/get too excited about the ongoing process. If you still have trouble transitioning, you can attempt a few techniques such as, building your own dream scene with your mind and immersing yourself within it. Good luck and if you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask.
