      Rocking sensation?

Hey guys! (First post! Have lurked for a few weeks though!)

So I've been trying to Lucid Dream via the WILD method for the past week and a half. Each time I think I've been progressing further through the stages, whilst being able to stay calm enough to keep on going. (The first time I tried it my heart beat went through the roof and totally ripped me out of it. I still have issues with keeping my heart beat under control, but I think I'm getting better at it.)

Anyway, today I attempted a WILD at around 1:00pm after waking up at around ~9:00am. There were a few things that were strange about this attempt:

      1) The first thing I thought was strange was that I didn't hear any roaring sounds like I have in previous attempts, is it normal to fall into SP and transition into a dream without hearing any sounds?

      2) I think this is the furthest I've been in a WILD attempt. I felt my body get heavier, 'tingling' sensations ran through my body, my eyes started jittering around like crazy, but managed to keep my eyes shut. However, the part I hadn't experienced until now is this rushing feeling, like I was rushing towards something. (Or something was rushing towards me, I couldn't tell which, but it was a great feeling.) Shortly after this I felt like I was rocking, like I was in a canoe. All I could see was a faint blue gradient, I tried to imagine a dream but I couldn't get anything to come into view. The rocking was such a nice feeling, it actually calmed my heart beat down which was good.

How close was I to transitioning into a dream? Has anyone else had issues or experienced this "rocking", if so, how did you transition into the dream from here?

(As a sidenote: Time is crazy whilst attempting to WILD. I remember checking the clock when I started and it was 1:13pm - after what felt at max 10 minutes, I awoke from the failed attempt and it was 1:50pm.)

You were right there my freind - congrats!!!

When I WILD then one of two things always happen:

I either start having mini dreams (dreamlets) and I can "step" into one.

OR - like you I feel tingling/energy - what some people call the vibrations. This can be accompanied by sensations of rushing, speed, rocking, rolling around. Sometimes with noise - sometimes not. I then just say in my mind "I will now leave my body". Then just "will" yourself to float away. This is what people used to call astral projection - but most beleive is just a dream. The sensations of seperation/vibrations/etc do feel very real though when they are happening.

At first, after the exit sensations, you will be floating around and probably find you are blind. Just wait and a scene will render in a little while - or demand sight (say in your mind "I will have sight/vision"). Then go explore!

You see - you were right there!!! - you just needed to apply your will to start dreaming something.

When things are this intense then you are right in the sweet
Every Man and Every Woman is a Star - There is no god but Man.

The word of sin is restriction - Thou hast no right but to do what thy will.

Nice job on your progress! You were very nearly there! Remember, alot of times the increased heart rate is just a hallucination. Ignoring it and staying as calm as possible will help slow it down. I often feel like my body is sliding all around the room during my transition. The best way to deal with this, is to just ride it out until your body stops rocking (sliding in my case). At this time you will most likely be within your dream. Don't try too hard to hurry the process as this can cause you to fail. Let the HH cease and the allow process to move forward on its own accord. If you can't seem to get anywhere after a good while, you can try to passively imagine a dream scene and immerse yourself within it. More often then not though, you will transition on your own. Just expect the process to work and I'm sure you won't have any trouble. Good luck to you in your future efforts!
