I want to WILD every night, please help me

      This is my situation:

I tried to WILD for a year. I accidentally succeeded once.

I tried every method there is. But I just never succeeded!. And I just donīt know why. Every single time I tried, I failed. Usually I fell asleep, sometimes I couldīt fall asleep. And yeah, most of the time I couldīt even begin trying because something prevented me! Like, my alarm clock didnīt wake me up etc.

Right now I havenīt got any dream recall, and I had my last LD months ago. So, Iīm beginning from a clean table.

Please, please tell me what should I do to achieve WILD? What am I doing wrong?

What do you do for your dream recall? I had almost no recall when I joined DV in November of 09, like 1 a week or not even sometimes, although if I had a nightmare, I would have nightmares several days in a row. I guess I technically had a few LDs before I joined, although I had no idea. They were all in nightmares, I realized that I had to be dreaming, and just woke myself up. The day I found DVs, I repeated two mantras.."I will remember my dreams", with "I will realize I am dreaming while in a dream" once in a while. I had 6 dreams that night, 4-5 being very short LDs! So 0-6 is pretty good. Now I don't even halve to say mantras, I just remember 3-6 every night. All 10 of mine were DILDs, as you can see. None of my 15 or so WILDs were succesfull. I think I got into SP, but then nothing happenned. A few nights ago I got into SP, I could not move, so I knew I was there.(I just woke up at 4:20 AM, after 5 hours of sleep) I don't remember what happenned. I just remember that I was in a dream, I used my watch for an RC, and became lucid. Being my 6th lucid, I woke from excitement. I had 4 more that night. The last two being 5 minutes. So I think I fell asleep when I got to SP, or I entered a dream and did an RC. Can't remember...
K so that is kinda my story, part of it at least...
I am guessing you have tried mantras? I said them for only 10 minutes on one night. If that hasn't been working, and you aren't remember dreams when your alarm goes off, I don't know.
How long do you sleep until your alarm goes off? Then, what do you do when you wake up from it? I spend 5-20 minutes getting a drink, going to the bathroom, etc. Then I lay down in the position I do to go to sleep. I don't get to SP as fast on my back. So lay however you go to sleep. Tell yourself a few times that you will remember your dreams. Then what do you think about? Before, I would always just concentrate on my breathing. Count the next number as you inhale, then say "I'm dreaming" as you exhale. Don't concentrate on it too much. I often find that I have stopped counting, or say the same number a few times. Then after anywhere from 10-50 minutes I start to enter SP. Lately however, I have tried to VILD(Visualization-induced-lucid-dream). So when I am laying there, I simply imagine myself doing stuff. After a while, I suddenly forget that I am visualizing, and I will be in whatever I was doing. VERY cool.
Hope this helps at least a little.

Well if you have no dream recall, its possible you had a lucid dream and forgot all about it!
"I know that I am mortal by nature, and ephemeral; but when I trace at my pleasure the windings to and fro of the heavenly bodies I no longer touch the earth with my feet: I stand in the presence of Zeus himself and take my fill of ambrosia, food of the gods." - Claudius Ptolemy

      Thanks, freakydreamer.

Yeah, I know that zero dream recall means that I canīt remember my lucids. But what I meant to say was that after I have regained my dream recall, what should I do then to WILD.

There are lots of techniques besides WILD. I would broaden your horizons a bit. You should have regular lucids if you use a variety of techniques. My personal favorites are MILD and DEILD.

Honestly I don't recommend doing WILD every single night, even if you could. The reason being that it's a huge pain getting up in the middle of the night and you will never be consistent when it comes to the time it will take to transition to the dream (even I can take from five minutes to thirty minutes).

If you want to get lucid every single night or at will, I recommend learning MILD instead (and then WILD on the side). It takes a little while before it begins to work but if you do it consistently, you will eventually be able to LD at will.
