I've been trying various methods over the past five years, and I've pretty much never even gotten to SP. I really don't bother much with the technique anymore, but is there anyone else here who was just pretty much never able to get it to work? |

I'm over 50 now and have NEVER experienced sleep paralysis nor any luck with WILD. Have known about the WILD technique for about six years or so. Can't claim to have worked on it too diligently though. I am a very light sleeper. |

yeah dude, ive tried to WILD many times but have never been successful. so ive basically given up on the method. hey i guess WILD jsut isnt for everybody. though i have gotten into sleep paralysis on accident a couple times but have never been able to make a lucid dream out of it |

"How can you be aware that you're dreaming, if you're never aware that you're awake?"
Other than with DEILD, I have yet to be able to WILD. I'm pretty sure I've never had SP. When I try to WILD I get this sudden rush of vibrations, along with extremely vivid imagery, as if I'm about to start dreaming. But it fades in a second or two. After that I am left feeling EXTREMELY rejuvenated to the point where it's hard to relax and wait any longer. The few times that I did wait around after the vibrations I got some waves of numbness and a few more vibrations, but that's it. |

Lolwut.
Count me amongst the unsuccessful. 75% of the time, I give up when waking up and go back to sleep immediately. When I do manage to stay up, I'm so tired afterwards I fall asleep immediately. So... yeah. |

I'm just starting to work with WILD, but I decided not to obsess about SP or not. I more just think, "I'm going to tell myself 'I'm dreaming' until it's true." That seems to be more Stephen LaBerge's take on it; he hardly mentions SP in discussing WILD, if I recall correctly. |

I've done it once, out of a year trying. |
|
I never attempt WILDs. NEVER. I do a personal mixture of MILD and some other stuff. However, I can't say that I never did WILD. I've done it about 5 times unintentionally. |

I've tried to WILD a couple of times however they were when I first went to sleep and I could only get some heaviness, numbness, etc.... My latest attempt was 4hr into my sleep and I saw what appeared to be the start of some dream imagery however I fell asleep While I think WILDs are harder to do than most other techniques due to SP, etc.... and I'm sure most ppl agree, the idea that they can grant you instant lucidity in comparison to DILDs and MILDs where you have to rely on remembering to RC makes it a better option if you hate waiting and relying on chance lucidity |

Bah, I think it would be easier with SP, at least you might know where the hell you're going. For me, never getting SP, I don't know whether or not I'm close, whether I did something wrong, ect. I really wish I would get SP, it's a marker in WILDing and I have no clue where the hell I am without it. Many people tell me different things, so I don't know what to believe |

Lolwut.
Actually, I have to correct myself: I did reach SP a few times, but every time I actually *did* reach it, it was never deliberate. I'm still aiming to be able to induce it. |
|
Same here, I haven't reached SP yet. I mean if I got to SP, then at least I know how close I am and what I need to work on, how it feels, etc.... but since I haven't experienced SP yet, I'm also in the dark, but, DILDs only work well if you have some dreamsigns and constantly RC which I don't have, don't do all the time |

I get EXACTLY the same thing! Getting to the point where I start feeling the vibrations is no problem. What I think is happening is this: you accept this dream-imagery that is so vivid, but then you have a moment of "This isn't real, oh I'm about to dream", and that somehow activates a part of your brain associated with being awake. So you have worked your way to beta-brainwaves (can't remember which you have when you're sleeping), and then in an instant, you go back to having the higher frequency brainwaves, and for some reason, you feel really rejuvenated, and can't go as deep again as before. |
