An Interesting Experience I've Been Meaning to Post About

I keep trying to lucid dream, I hardly ever get in a lucid dream. The few times I do I snap out of it incredibly quickly.

About a month and a half ago, I got in a huge argument with my Step Father, it was incredibly stressful on my end, as I hate conflict.

However, after it was over I instantly went to bed in frustration. A few seconds after my head hit the pillow, I instantly went into a spinning sensation. Like... it felt like my body rotated up (Towards my head) slightly and to the left. Then it felt like, the spinning snapped back but I felt higher up. And it would spin up and left and it lasted about 20 seconds.

Instantly, without trying I was in a lucid dream. And it was the most lucid of dreams I'd ever been in. I was in some open ceiling house, with decayed chipping and rotting wall or paint. I walked around, and felt the texture of the wall, smelt the dry dry air. The sky was bright orange. I went into a bathroom, then saw there was a mirror with no reflection. Upon touching it I turn around to see the scene changed to a forest scene.

It was just a quiet forest, with hardly any sound to it beside what I made. I walked it, for what seemed like hours, even though only about 30 minutes passed. It was incredibly relaxing since I was fully conscious, and felt everything.

Why would you think such stress causes this? Do you think there's a way to replicate the reason why without actually getting extremely stressed out to that end?

hmm, I don't think you can easily replicate it, but, I would use that LD as a drive to get more of them. To mention though, there was a thread on here where a guy said that he was stressed from life, etc.... and ended up having an LD as if his body was telling him, here have some fun and relax. Too bad it's not that easy Anyways, you can also try confidence. If you are VERY confident that you will have an LD, you WILL have one

I read somewhere that heightened emotions can help induce lucid dreams, but you don't have to be stressed. It can be a good emotion, altough I think it would be hard to replicate it.

DMT is an interesting chemical that is found in the brain...if you aren't familiar with it it's a hallucinogen that we're all constantly on...kind of a reality trip. heightened states of stress can release higher amounts of it and it has been linked to out of body and lucid experiences. it is often associated with the pineal gland or third eye, a focal point in many forms of meditation.

I'm no scientist but I've done a bit of reading on the matter and from what I've encountered that might be a pretty decent explanation as to why your stressful situation enhanced your lucidity so much.
