      Thumbs down I can't do it...help!

So I've been trying to to the CAN-WILD method for the past three nights to no avail...each time I've woken up right before the alarm. I tried to just turn it into WBTB, but...
I can never get to the HI stage. The closest I've been was two nights ago, where I think I got into sleep paralysis after about an hour of laying in my bed. My whole body felt heavy and like someone was pressing down on my chest.

For reference, I've had one lucid dream (a very weak one because I didn't know about stabilization and got too excited so I woke up). I actually woke up in sleep paralysis then closed my eyes and visualized my room and had a false awakening of sorts.
I've woken up in sleep paralysis once before, but to be honest it scared me a LOT the first time because I couldn't move so I just focused on waking up.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I've kept up with dream journaling and do RCs when I think of it.

      Thanks.

Just keep practicing. And never say that you can't do it. Look up the law of attraction :] and not the cheesey The Secret movie about it, that's a load of honky.

As said... be happy... focus that you already went lucid which is a major achievement.
Visualize while in bed how awesome was your short lucid dream. This also might make you fail your WILD, but might trigger another lucid dream because you are thinking about going to bed... The result is the same, it does not really matter the path you take if you get to lucid dream

I have the same problem, i just cant get myself to go to sleep. i think its because i get to excited when i think about what is about to happen. i have only had one ld, and it was on my first CAN-WILD attempt. And now that i know how awsome lucid dreaming is, i just cant seem to calm myself down enough when the moment comes. i will try to stay up late tonight and hope i will be able to make myself sleep when its time to.

It sucks, but keep trying! We'll get there eventually.

Question... what exactly does CAN-WILD stand for? I'm sure it isn't an official technique, so yeah, don't think many people can help unless they know what it is <.<

CUSTOM ALARM NOISE Wake-initiated Lucid Dream (CANWILD)

A short 5-10 second alarm that wakes you up without having to move to shut off an alarm. This wakes you up in SP most likely already and you can just slip right back into a dream or wild from there. It works just like a regular alarm except you only wake up your mind enough to do so. It is very effective and I do believe it works great. I have had it happen to me spontaneously without an alarm where I'd wake up in SP and spiral right into a dream.

I totally agree. Ive never regular WILD but I CAN-WILD'd on my first try. I think that it should become an official method.

Can I get an alarm of those for my I-Pod?

      If so, where?
