Is this Technique Like WILD or Something Else?
The technique:
To start, for me this technique has had a 100% success rate for just having a dream in general (not necessarily lucid, but that's something that can be worked on). I've been experimenting a little bit before I fell asleep each night. What I've been doing is when those "dream-like" scenes start to appear in your mind, I just watch them. Then, within about 5 minutes of that I'll find myself in a dream and I may or may not be lucid. A lot of the times when I realize that I'm lucid I'll wake up all the way but I can always go back to dreaming very fast by just looking at the scenes that randomly pop into my head.
My Experience and Questions:
I did this during a nap today. It was a 2 hour nap, and I had about 5-10 dreams, 1 or which was lucid, another was half lucid. Is this what WILD is? And how do I stabalize these dreams? I don't take any naps or do any pre-sleep before this, I just go right at it. Would I be more successful if I woke up in a REM phase?
I'm probably going to combine this with MILD, and I'll get back to you guys (probably) with my results tomorrow. BTW this technique works absolutely great too for anyone that has trouble falling asleep (usually takes me an hour, but by doing this very simple tech I get to sleep in about 5-10 mins) or just wants a lot of lucid dreams. I suppose you could also call this DEILD but you don't need to stay still and you could be up for as long as you want before you attempted this again to go right into a dream (but it's faster if you just look at the imagery again as soon as you wake up). I haven't not remembered at least a few dreams using this technique every single time I tried it, which means it has a 100% success rate. Well, for me anyways. The only problem is some of the dreams you may have can be unstable.
Sorry about so much text, but I urge anyone to try this technique too!
