    1. Jet-Ski Snomobile

by , 07-19-2015 at 04:34 PM (Lucid Time!)
I was with S. We were at a ski resort. (Being at weird ski resorts used to be a dream sign of mine. He was driving this weird vehicle that was sort of like a snowmobile, but it could also cross water like a Jet Ski (as the title implies.)

I remember we were doing some kind of filming thing for our youtube channel, that in the dream, we had started, but we had to go to one of the other resort lodges to do so. We were with someone else as well, I think S's friend who we can call L. He started taking us out over the water when he unzipped a large duffel bag. In it was mostly clothes and towels, but he also had his laptop computer in there.

I remember he took it out, and dipped it in the water partway. He told me he wanted to wipe all the software while keeping the computers' essential functions working, and that what he was doing was not going to permanently kill his computer. I was a skeptic but it worked.

We got off of the lake and started going downhill along one of the ski runs. I remember that almost nobody was on the hill. There might have been one or two skiers, but it was basically deserted, despite being perfect weather for the sport.

We stayed on the move for several minutes, mostly moving downhill through a maze of runs and chairlifts.
I became semi-lucid at one point and was wondering why the dream was deserted. I was also wondering why my dad wasn't present in the dream, he's always present in these ski dreams, and usually they are one of the few times he isn't an annoying DC.

I then remember S took us through this half-pipe. I remember complimenting him that he was really good at driving this thing. After we came out of the half pipe we arrived at another ski lodge building. This one much smaller than the other. We got off the snowmobile and went to the front door to meet with our film crew, but we were locked out. S admitted that he was actually completely lost.

L and I decided to just enjoy the view. The view was that of some huge swiss-alps type mountains. We couldn't see very far because it was cloudy. S got out a map and started trying find our way back.
    2. Yet another dream about going to Mars. This one involves a talking loaf of bread.

by , 03-02-2015 at 03:18 AM (Lucid Time!)
I had a dream about this giant ice rink that had been built out of snow/igloo blocks at the edge of my subdivision. Something to do with my dad, grandfather, hot cocoa and skating around the inside. It was lit up on the inside.

For some reason, I find it hard to stay invested in this NLD. It was sort of lacking content.

      ...

Something to do with being on a train, somehow connected to this dream. I do seem to dream about trains an awful lot given I've only ridden one a couple times in my life.

I was with a crew undergoing a manned survey of Mars. Our lander touched down not far from [One of Mars' largest volcanoes]. We had a crew of six people total. I don't recall any names, genders, etc. Just that there were six of us.

The lander came equipped with both an Ariel surveyor plane as well as a mobile analysis lab. Each one of these vehicles could hold two people, and the remaining two would stay with the lander.

I got put on the crew to fly the airplane. Now the areal surveyor was launched from some kind of rail cannon on the lander so that it would have enough speed to fly in the thin atmosphere. But when It launched us there was some kind of malfunction and we had to land asap.

I saw that we were going 411. Miles per hour? Meters per second? I don't know. I tried to gently nose the plane down. I was somehow able to see third person perspective and see that the landing gear was about to touch down in the red sand.

We touched the ground briefly before flying off a sand dune like a ramp. I saw that our speed was now 123. We hit the ground, but one of the landing gear hit a rock and we rolled over. The air surveyor was destroyed, but me and the other astronaut somehow survived.

But we had a new problem. We now only had the life support in our space suits to support us. Even if the mobile lab drove at full speed, they wouldn't be halfway to us by the time we were long dead.

I actually became a little bit lucid here, and remembered that I had the ability to summon Sir Chuggingloaf. (Read this ancient dream to know who that is.)

I don't know why I was thinking of that character, since he has only appeared one other time and it was over 10 years ago, but sure enough, I saw him fly down from the upper atmosphere. Only, in this dream, he wasn't a train, but rather a spaceship. Rather than a train gondola, he had a rocket booster and wings. He also had windows in his side.

A ramp opened up. Somehow, I was now with a large party of astronauts (10+ of them) and we were all getting inside of the flying bread spaceship. I didn't get in.

I also remember him looking like a cartoon superimposed on what had thus far been a very realistic looking dream. He smiled and flew off into the sky with everyone inside of him.

Interpretations: Any dream that involves talking bread spaceships is beyond my ability to interpret. I do seem to dream of being on Mars a lot. I wonder why that is.
    3. Recurring Lucid Anxiety Dreams

by , 11-09-2014 at 02:56 PM (Lucid Time!)
I recall being in a cycle last night. With every sleep cycle I had a cookie-cutter anxiety dream, and in all of them I became partially lucid and changed the dream scenario in order to stop the dream from creating any stress.

I recall one having to do with me having to write an essay. I manifested one in my hand before slipping back into nonlucidity.

Another had to do with me being late for a class. While lucid I gave myself two extra hours.

Yet another had to do with a violent storm fast-approaching my house.
      I think I redirected it.

There was one having to do with D. He was for some reason sleeping on an air mattress in the middle of our room. My parents were involved somehow, and no lucidity in this one.

The final dream was blurry. I remember I was trying to get these long metal rods out from under my bed. I know I became lucid here, but I can't remember what the heck was going on.

Not counting any of these as lucids though because recall was so bad.
    4. Swimming in 'Hot' Springs, Peeing on my science test

by , 07-26-2014 at 12:30 PM (Lucid Time!)
There is a male teacher giving me and perhaps 10 other students a science test. And we were taking it in my basement. But that's not the weird part. Everyone was naked save for the teacher. But that's not the weird part. The weird part was I got the test, took one look at it and thought.
"Hmm... I should pee on this."
So I did. I got yelled at by the teacher and he gave me a new test and told me to sit in the center of the room. I started taking the test only to find that it was actually pretty easy, even though some of the questions made no sense. It was something to do with matching pictures to words. I began grasping lucidity when I awoke.

I am camping with my family somewhere cold. There is snow on the ground and the rivers are frozen. Two boys that I have never met invite me to the hot springs. I have a swimsuit on under my winter clothes and I decide to go with them.
I walk with them through the cold for like an hour, (No kidding, this was up there with the longest dreams that I've ever had.) Until we get to a river that looks to be steaming. Thinking we're finally here, I take off all my clothes only to realize that the other boys have not. They then push me into the water, that turns out to be FREEZING cold. I lose control of my body as I 'die'.
I get taken up into a high tree that has a metal cage hanging from it. I can see the whole campground from up here. I get placed inside the cage back inside my body. [DREAM LOGIC] The cage is some sort of penalty box for dying. It's the rules of this camping area. Anytime someone dies they have to spend time up here. The more stupid you were about your death the longer the time you spend up here. Then you return to the land of the living when you have served your time. [/DREAM LOGIC]

    5. The first time in awhile that I've done this 'Right' (LD #95)

by , 07-03-2014 at 10:31 AM (Lucid Time!)
I am inside of some kind of cafe or coffee shop where I become lucid. The shop is closed down, empty and the lights are off. I am standing near the back of the room. I just become lucid, I think I preformed a nose-pinch RC. I do several seconds of mental affirmation and then do some stabilization. It occurs to me that I have no set goals in mind and no real direction that I am taking the dream. I then just think to myself "I'll go outside and see where that gets me."
I step outside to see the front door of the coffee shop has landed me on my front porch outside my house. It is nighttime and it there is snow on the ground.
      Shouldn't I feel cold...?
A chill feeling overtakes my arms, and to a lesser extent the rest of me. I begin to swing my arms around and experiment with the cold feeling. It doesn't feel 'Authentic', but there is defiantly a cold feeling there. I then look up to the sky.
I don't like to lucid dream at night. Darkness=low clarity, low clarity=sour LD. I look to the east and see the beginnings of a sunrise. So yeah, I could just wait around clinging to lucidity for the sun could come up, but that's not how we do things here, is it.
"Sundial" command. I extend my arm out to where the sun should be, just below the horizon and grab hold of it. I swing up and out in an arc across the sky, moving the sun to about 45 degrees above the horizon. I might have tweaked the position some more. It was truly fascinating to tweak the position of the sun, watching the sky change colors as I moved it closer/farther from the horizon. It was mostly clear, but there were a couple of clouds.
I moved the sun back below the horizon momentarily and looked at the stars. I could see the bands of the milky way, something not normally visible from my home due to light pollution. In this dream, it looked as though my neighborhood was deserted.
I finally put the sun where I wanted. But then I realized that it was too small. The sun felt weak, small and far away.
      "Sun, Ignite!" I said.
Suddenly, the sun became this huge flaming ball about twice the size of the moon. The heat energy coming off of it was intense and all of the snow began melting all around me.
I then turned my attention to the moon. I swung the moon around and put it in the sky as well. The moon was the same size as the new larger sun, and they were pretty close to one another.
Then that part of my brain kicks in that gives me awesome things to do in LDs.
What if I could make an eclipse happen?
I grab hold of both the moon and the sun and try to make them overlap. I begin to lose the dream. The moon turns orange and the sun begins to distort into various non-circular shapes.
      I wake up.
    6. Beating an Anxiety dream

by , 04-17-2012 at 07:59 PM (Lucid Time!)
I was leaving school. It was cold, dark and raining/snowing. I believe that I was also mildly lucid, at least in the beginning of the dream. I went out the the bus loop and I was getting close to the buses when they all started leaving without me, meaning that I would have to walk home several miles in the snow. (This is a common anxiety that I have in real life.)
To make matters worse somebody shoved me into the street and I was now cold, wet and muddy.
I got up and found out that there was one bus still there. It was bus number 25. There was a scrawny-looking man driving it and he told me that he was going to the middle school next to my subdivision. I told him to let me ride the bus but he said he could not because I was not singed up, so I still had to walk home.
I would not be beat, and took my cell phone out of my backpack and called my mom for a ride. I guess anxiety dreams don't like being "beaten" because the dream ended at that point.

I remember the number "25" on the side of the bus so vividly. I'm quite certain I was completely focused on it for a few seconds. I wonder if it will have further significance in my dreams...
