      unconsciously changing scene while flying

      Hello,

this morning I had a dream where I turned lucid very easily.
After some reality checks and grounding work I looked out of the window of the place I was in. It was dark outside, except for some houses' lights far away.
I focused on one of these houses and jumped through the window, like I always do when starting to fly.

Normally I change the scene to daylight beforehand, but the night was beautiful and I wanted to try flying trough the night.

I failed miserably. First I got good speed and was directly heading to the house when suddenly everything turned black and the scene shifted completely to a another situation.
It was not like waking up the moment you think you would hit the ground, which sometimes happens, but rather some type of change of scene without me wanting to.

I tried to focus very hard on that one house and my flight path to it, but unconsciously changed the scene, which I am normally not able to in my lucid dreams with such ease.
After that change I lost my lucidity right away.

tl;dr; I changed my dream scene while flying and really focusing on my flight unconsciously to something completely different.

Do you have any ideas on what I could have done different?

      Thanks guys

Well I would say that every dream is unique and created by your mind. Your mind's state is also not the same every time. Some things that worked in last dream don't have to work in your next one.
If you feel like it, please take a look at my YouTube channel:

If you don't, hm well have a nice day anyway ^_^

I get something similar actually. It happens when I become lucid and start to fly. Everything just blacks down and I can feel that I'm slowly waking up.
My vision kinds of tilts untill I am sideways (the way I sleep) and I can somewhat "see" myself waking up through my eyelids. After reality checks, sadly, these are not false awakenings. I have a plan though that the next time I become lucid, I will yell out "CLARITY!" in an attempt to stabilize my lucidity.
