It looks like during the period of time when the dream was recurring, you were sometimes gripped by a kind of “rush of fear” (the strong wind, the silent scream for help)) when having to deal with facing the various practical challenges of growing up which were likely symbolized by the green grassy area and the woods etc.
That’s because the color green in dreams is often related to the five senses, that is, to practical realities.
The general “game of life” (e.g. the football and baseball you played in the grassy area) probably usually went OKAY but the more mysterious and difficult “forest, ponds and swamps” type of situations which were also “green” maybe were harder to handle at times.
For a while, you might even have been in a little danger of just unconsciously wanting to somehow permanently escape certain “down-to-earth realities” as it were, but doing so was symbolically shown as being a mistake; e.g. you were shown as being very frightened by being above the ground (i.e. away from earthy, practical realities, and swept along uncontrollably by the “fearful” wind).
So the dream might have been symbolically trying to get across that if a habit of “escaping” became too strong, it could create a scary and dangerous attitude of mind that could slow down your overall self-development over time.
Anyway, without knowing anything much about you, this way of looking at your dream might not fit your personal circumstances very well, but I hope these ideas can be helpful in some way.
Please feel free to ask any questions or to make any comments about this particular way of looking at your recurring dream.
