      Welcome, Alan!

To remember your dreams, the first thing you have to do is be aware of them in the first place!

To be aware of your dreams, try to be aware of the big picture of sleep. Throughout the entire night, dreaming or not, pay attention to what you're seeing, feeling, and/or hearing. You can never really be sure when you're going to start dreaming so it's best to pay attention to the entire process of sleep to maximize your chances of being aware of your dreams.

If you wake up from a dream you were aware of, you'll have something to remember. You likely have to write it down if you want to remember it for more than a few minutes. Start be going back as far back as you can remember during the dream and then replay the dream in your head. After you do this, write down what you replayed in your head. You can write down everything, or you can shorthand it using key words or tags.

Keep in mind, you dream upwards of 4-5 times a night and you wake up after each dream. So, if you're doing it right, you should wake up several times throughout the night.

This is also one of the best times to practice reality checks. This is because after you wake up from a dream, there's always a possibility that you might still be dreaming!

You got this. Keep us updated! Feel free to ask questions.
