      Poor recall and lucid dreams

How many of you have frequent lucid dreams despite having poor dream recall? I thought that you had to have good dream recall to have lucid dreams but for about a year and a half i have had frequent lucid dreams with poor recall.

But how do you know you are having lucids if you have poor recall? I forget lucids as easily as non-lucids, if I don't make a point of trying to remember them.

I seem remember my lucid dreams better but recently i have realised that i forget then too. Twice in the last week something jogged my memory that i had a lucid dream the previous night.

So i could be having lucid dreams all the time for all i know and not recalling them!

That's happened to me; later on something reminded me of a dream and a whole lucid came back to me. So I'm sure I've forgotten some. That seems so terrible, it is mainly what keeps me going at my dream journal now.

You may be having a lot of lucids if you almost forgot two in one week! I'm happy if I remember that many.

It seems like lucids should be easier to remember than regular dreams, and usually they are because I am excited about them when I wake up, but they seem to be more like other dreams than like a real-life experience when it comes to getting put into long term memory if I don't remember them right away. Unfortunately.

Yeh i also think lucid dreams are easier to remember because you normally wake up after them. If you have a false awakening however your recall isn't so good. This morning i had 3 lucid dreams and i had this really enjoyable lucid dream but because i had a false awakening i only remember some of it, i'm so gutted. I recall the first lucid dream fine because i woke up straight after it but i also have problems recalling the second one because i also had a false awakening after that one. Damn i hate false awakenings

I can't remember any of my dreams really, maybe 1-3 a week and my last lucid was a week and a half ago and I can still remember it clearly. Most the time, you wake up right after it, so I mean, you were just there so there wasy to remember. (in my opinion!)

Yeah, dream journals really help with dream recall. I suggest u keep a notepad or tablet and a pen on your dresser on in your bed to record dreams as soon as you wake up. It is right there, so before you forget your dream just write it down and you'll always have it. Keeping a journal takes discipline. Dont be lazy and go eat breakfast and then do it because u will 4get it. Plus, it really helps with WILDing. Say u sleep for 5 hours and have a dream, wake up, record it, and go back to sleep. This always help me with WILDing.
