      Belated Hello

So, I've been a lurker for... months really. I just recently got the motivation to actually start the path of lucidity though. Bit of background is in order I suppose.

Both of my parents are natural lucid dreamers, so I can't remember a time when I didn't want to do it myself, I just never had the motivation. I recently started taking college courses for high school, so I've been getting a bit more sleep than usual, so I thought this is as good a time as any to start getting into lucid dreaming. I joined this forum in April and had been looking at it every once in a while, more than ever in the past few months, so I've decided in the last few weeks to start pursuing it actively.

I started on the 21st, nine days ago, and so far have increased my dream recall to at the very least a fragment every night, usually more, especially because I nap most days. Been experiencing a bit of what I think is probably hypnagogic hallucinations (click for more details on that)

Hoping to keep motivated for a long time to come =)

      to DreamViews!

Oh, how lucky to have parents lucid dreamers. And both of them! How that happened, haha.

Starting a dream journal is a great way to let your mind know that you care about dreams and remembering them. Rest of it is mostly setting an intent to realize that you are dreaming, both in a DILD and during WILDing.

Great to have you here, CreativeInChaos!
It's awesome that both of your parents are lucid dreamers! It took me several years to convince my mum that I wasn't insane when I first started pursuing LD.
I'm just reading your other thread now so I'll reply there in a minute, but I'm very excited to see how you'll progress with your LD practices!
