An introduction, and a problem with lucid dreaming

Hello! I'm Springlock (Gen_Grievous was taken... or not allowed)

Before I get started I'd like you all to know if there are weird corrections in my typing it's because I am usually on mobile (iPod touch) and am upset I cannot edit my profile on mobile...

I'm not really new to lucid dreaming, but I have known about it for a while and have been attempting at it with no avail.

I got to this forum from a link in the description of one of Giz Edward's videos. I thought it may be helpful to join and discuss what might be going wrong?
For the last six months I have tried multiple times to achieve lucidity, but with no luck. Here's a list of things I have tried and their outcomes:

      MILD:
      -absolutely nothing.

      FILD:
-I get deep into the HI (hypnagogic imagery) and just fall completely asleep.

      WILD:
-This is the one I've come closest and once did work.
The dream was ten seconds long and, well, it was a fail. I woke up because I got too exited that I had finally gotten into a dream. I... havnt had such luck since.

(If Mzzkc could be directed to this post I would be honored. I have seen their posts on another forum post before I registered and they seem to know the most about lucid dreaming in the style I am attempting than anyone else I have seen. Thanks!)

(Yes I have been browsing the forum casually for a few hours before I registered)

      So,
      Cya next time.

A 10 sec lucid is still a lucid and I would not call it a failure. Once you learn how to make soup, just because you made small pot doesn't mean you didn't make it. Next time you will make it bigger.

Now you know you can achieve a lucid dream, all you have to do is do it again and again. Especially for WILDs, since every attempt is different from the one before.

Feel free to PM mzzkc. In the meantime, check out our best WILD tutorial here WILD. It will explain everything that's there to know. Good luck and ask if we can help with anything.
