      Wink Introducing.. Myself!

      Hey There, New Here..

I got really interested in lucid dreaming a few months ago, right before I attended Burning Man for the first time. The Saturday before I went to the Burn, I had my first lucid dream, only 3 days after starting my dream journal. I have had 3 others, since then, in which I was lucid. One of which was lastnight.

I have been able to control my actions while lucid only twice, and my lucidity comes and goes throughout the dream.

I'm hoping to learn to control my dreams more, to control my lucidity more effectively, and would like to be able to do things like change my scenery, etc..

I'm so glad that I discovered lucidity.. it's given me something to be excited about, every day.

Looking forward to meeting and talking to some of you, exchanging stories, dreams, and techniques. <3

I've always wanted to go to burning man. All my friends have great stories from it. I've never been able to bring myself to go. I'm pretty anal about my hygiene, and can barely tolerate going a day without showering. I don't think I could handle camping in the sweaty desert for days on end without a shower.

I'm the same way. I shower every day, without fail, and it drives me insane if I don't. I was surprised when I arrived there and immediately felt a fondness for the dust.. it has a slight, sweet smell and it covers everything.. even the whiteouts are beautiful. And of course, there are ways you can shower, everyday, even at Burning Man. It is definitely worth it.

Cool! I am planning on going next year. I think Burning Man had something to do with your lucid dreaming. Is that you in the photo? It's badass!

There are some cool fire spinners from Hawai'i that went. Meet any?

      Welcome Lucid Burner!

It sounds like you've already had some experience with lucid dreaming. This will make the rest of your lucid journey so much easier. Here on Dream Views, we have so many resources. You can start out by checking out the tutorial section, which is very informative on all things to do with lucid dreaming. You may also find the dream journal section to be of interest. There you can read people's stories, experiences and sometimes a technique or two. You can also start your own dream journal so that the rest of us can hear about some of your experiences! If you have any questions, you can make a thread or PM someone you think is experienced. We're more than happy to answer questions.
      ...And then to dream...

Heh, yes, I think it had something to do with that as well. I had been looking forward to it for months, becoming horribly anxious. The night I had my first lucid dream was a few days before we were scheduled to arrive on the playa, and in that dream, I found what was 1 in 5 pieces of this twisted, copper wire sculpture. The sculpture had blue glass gems on it. When I found it, I realized it was the last of it's kind. I had been finding these pieces of this 'sculpture' for weeks prior in my dreams and I had now found the last one. I went outside, attached it to the rest of a sculpture, that was hanging from a tree and watched it glow as I did.

I think it's safe to say that this was me finally making the journey to the Burn, or something similar. We also had three blown tires on the way there, so making it to LA, where I had the dream, was quite an accomplishment as well.

Oh, and I'd love to share my dreams with some of you. Since I started recording them, they've been oh-so intricate and vivid and interesting... Now if I could only muster up the will to wanna type up over a month of dreams.. hehe.
