That sounds very interesting! Whenever I have had recurring dreams in the past, I have been able to stop having them by thinking about how they make me feel and trying to make connections with what aspect of my psyche the dream might be a manifestation of. If I can't crack that puzzle then I have tried replicating the dreams within a lucid dream and changing how I felt when going through those experiences, this has especially seemed to work for really unpleasant dreams. As an example, I used to have these uncomfortable tornado dreams all the time, so when I became lucid I flew into a tornado and then meditated in it, trying to be peaceful and let my heart burst with love. I rarely have those tornadoes appear in my non-lucid dreams now. They were a really great dream sign for me though. Maybe a better and more recent example: I used to have a lot of uncomfortable dreams where I would be surrounded by people that were talking in groups and I felt like I didn't belong, so I started going into groups of people during lucid dreams and hanging out with the DCs, talking to them, joking, relaxing, and letting go of some of that anxiety I have surrounding that situation. It has helped a lot so far, both inside and outside of dreams.
So are you saying that you think your dreams could be a representation of your anxious feelings about your life? Are you not able to express feelings of being frustrated or stressed during your waking life?
If you wanted to try what has worked for me, maybe you could try wandering through the city during your next lucid dream. Instead of worrying about not being able to reach your destination you could just enjoy the journey - take in the atmosphere around you, be peaceful, and enjoy wandering around and seeing all the fantastic stuff in the city.
Another option, you could meditate while you're awake on giving strong intent to become lucid next time it happens. You could say something to yourself like, "The next time I have that dream, I will become lucid!!! ", then imagine yourself becoming lucid during that dream and changing the dream from being stressful to being something wonderful.
In any case, good luck man! I hope that you can feel better soon.
