Class 3 - Dream Control : Part II
Hello, welcome to the third class of this semester.
In this class, we will cover:
- Telekinesis.
Telekinesis is the ability to alter an object's state of motion without any direct or indirect physical contact. It may sound simple enough, but as a beginner, it may be one of the most challenging things to get done right. Sometimes the desired object will just wobble up, then go crashing down. Sometimes it won't even move at all. The key here, again, is belief. Most of you are already familiar with the basics of telekinesis, so I will just go ahead and post the different methods.
1. Invisible Chain - A very simple method. You imagine a strong, invisible link to the desired object, and give the link a yank. The object should fly across towards you as if pulled by a string.
2. Invisible Hand. By far the most efficient and reliable method, in my opinion. You need to have more . . . practice with this one. Basically, you imagine you have a third hand. But while imagining it, you should almost FEEL it too, as if it was really there. Try imagining a third hand right now and get it to scratch the back of your other hand. See how you feel the tingling sensation on BOTH of the contact spots?
In dreams, you can use this imaginary hand to do a number of things. Catch and enemy unawares, reach for the remote when you're feeling too lazy , whatever you like!
3. Invisible Force (I need some lolcats) - Same concept as the other two, but you feel a 'force' instead, which can move about objects.
- Summoning.
Summoning is the ability to, well, summon a person or object towards you. You can use some of the telekinetic abilities to achieve that, (I once summoned something by yelling, 'ACCIO!' xD), you can open up portals and summon objects through them.
It's easier, however, to use the expectation method. Behind a door, inside your pocket, in a box, wherever you want the desired object to be, it WILL be there. Be creative! ^_^
Try summoning things using both telekinesis AND the expectation method next lucid. Today's homework task, though anyone barely does it.
- Morphing.
Now that I have explained all the different methods of basic dream control, it's easier to implement them into the more advanced techniques.
Before you read on, try to imagine how, using the techniques you have learnt so far, you can morph yourself.
A quick answer comes to mind; believe.
However, as you'll come to know, it's not just a matter of believing, though sometimes it works. No, it's a more complicated process, especially for the inter-species morph. (whaa?) You'll need to be familiar with your body, inside and outside. You will need to be familiar with 'feeling' the yet unchanged parts of your body, this 'feeling' that I have talked about often, needs to be engraved into your mind almost like a natural thought.
For starters, you can just stand beside a mirror, then expect to have morphed into something else when you look at it again. With enough belief and a bit of luck, you will succeed often.
But, it's not very reliable. It doesn't last that long, it doesn't give very impressive results either.
For a more satisfying morph, you need to literally alter your body. If you transform into a giant, you have to feel the blood rushing to your legs and all parts of the body, hormones triggering a sudden growth process in the intended area, and feel it expand, or for lack of a better term, grow until you make it stop. You have to control the inner process of the body, as well, to stimulate the transformation.
For example, how would you go about growing wings? Well, I would feel the blood rushing to my back, my back starting to tingle at two spots where the wings' base should be. I would feeling it growing extra bones and flesh, that shoot out and spread into real wings. Gross? You get used to it.
Experiment what works best for you, that is how I learnt all this.
- Invisibility.
Comparatively an easier technique. The easiest way to do it is to 'let through light'. If you can convince your body that you are really transparent and not opaque, you'll turn invisible and DCs etc. will not notice you. Easy!
Maor easy? Challenge accepted.
Go infront of a mirror, and step into it, believing that you will be invisible on the 'other' side (mirror world) until you come back. Easier!
Like I said, once you master the basics, it's only a matter of creativity, and you can do everything!
- Long Range Teleportation.
Similar to short range teleportation, which I explained previously. However, instead of blurring your vision and targeting a spot in your sight, you'll need to close your eyes completely, imagine a place where you wanna go, and imagine yourself being transported there. Essentially, it's just a change of dreamscape, but hey, it works right? And besides, you'll notice almost all forms of long range teleportation are a change of the scenario.
You can also open up a portal. Grab at the air in front of you. What is that weird thing your hand just touched? It's a door handle! Why is it invisible? Pull on it. A rip in spacetime appears. It's very bright (or very dark) and you can not see through it.
That, is how to open a portal. Yes, randomly grab a chunk of air, or any material you wish, really, and pull. It's like tearing a canvas to reveal the wall behind.
Step into it, while imagining yourself appearing out of Disneyland once you get out. Congratulations, you are in Disneyland. >.<
You can use walls in different ways, like Hagrid tapping at a brick to reveal a portal to the world of magick, you can tap a brick too and expect it to open wherever you want.
- Interacting with Dream Characters.
Cheers, you have covered the major part of dream control. Practice your techniques, familiarize with LDs, with their environment, and most importantly, experiment.
Next, you'll want to dive deeper into your subconscious, to learn things about yourself YOU never know, to find that scared little part of your personality that you never knew existed. Conquering a foe is power, conquering yourself is true strength.
Here starts the mysterious and not so often rewarding, but always enlightening journey to your inner self.
First of all, interact with your DCs. Get to know them, those who appear often, ask then questions about themselves and yourself, socialize. As you get to know them better, you'll notice a slow change in them. A change in their attitude towards you. Instead of saying random things, they make more sense, they wave hello, at you when you walk by.
Basically, interact with them. It takes a lot of will power to NOT spend your LD time doing whatnot, but do it anyways. It'll be a tremendous help later.
Once you get to know them well enough, it's time to go on a hunt. Yes, a hunt for your Dream Guide. It's hidden somewhere in your subconscious, willing to come out, to be closer to you, but all this fancy stuff never actually gives you the time to hear it's cries. You have to hunt it out, and interact with it.
Dream Guides can be your personal lover, best friend, teacher, sparring partner, and the listening ear, all at the same time. They can teach and show you stuff that you never know, that I could never teach you.
Next class will be an online chat. Please post what time you are free to attend online chat class in this thread, I want to have maximum attendance.
Good luck!
