My own Signature

Hello

I'm composing my own signature in photoshop. I will post my different steps of this signature, critics are welcome: I want to do something memorable, something tat catches your attention.

First thing's first, you might want to downsize the image a bit.

The maximum allowed size for a signature picture here is 600x150 pixels.

I suggest choosing a high-quality picture of a forest or whatever picture you like, and put it as the background. Then mess around with the layers (window>layers), setting the one with the panda on it to "screen" or something else that looks good. It can produce some really cool effects. If you want to blend two different background pictures together, paste in another picture and use the eraser tool (blurry brush) to fade it out.

What version of photoshop are you using?

Yes I know that's to big. I wanted to minimize it afterwards

I'd leave the sizing as is, for now. It's easier to work in a larger size, and you can always change it later.

What's the idea, exactly, that you want to realize?

I wanted to hidde the panda behind a forest or gras or Bambus, making it like a "undercover agent" or something like that, maybe wearing sunglasses. Also some kind of slogan integrated like: "agent grischkaja008 @ dreamviews" or "member of WTF: World Teacher Fondation xD. Something funny

You should make the image plain black and white, without the texture from the wall.

My intention actually is to make it black and white, but I don't find any good simple made black and white bamboo motiv. I googeld a bit and I always find "sample-picture" or stuff like that where you have to pay....

I suppose you could use this for something. The lines look a little wobly in hi-ress, but they're fine low ress. Do you have your avatar in hi-ress by any chance?

Try shrinking the panda by 10% or so, it'll make the outline look less "pixelly" and more smooth ("anti-aliased"). Then try putting a glow around the outside (layer style > outer glow), it'll help it stand out more.
