*insert lame joke about how business was booming*

You should totally like, draw something with your right hand and then like, draw the same, um, picture with like, your left hand. Cuz then we could um, like, compare the two and then like, you know?

Yeah, I draw with my non-dominant hand a lot. I could probably find some on this computer without even having to make something new.

      Freakin' out about spiders erryday:

So back in graaaddeee.. 12, yeah, I was in art and we had a project where we had to choose a Beatles song and turn it into a piece. I immediately chose I Am The Walrus because given the nonsensical lyrics, it'd be fun to fiddle with. Grade 12 was 2-3 years ago, so this is p old.

That's a dog at the bottom for those who are a little confused by the mess. I copied it from a head on shot of my old dog laying on his side.

ANYWAYS, I used a sheet of scrap wood as the canvas. Most of it was done with paint, the walrus flower is made of the lyrics I typed in different fonts, some of it is hand written, it's all been painted on, around, underneath, etc and decorated with India Ink mess. The walruses were originally photos I cut out from a NatGeo mag, which I then painted over and outlined. There's also gold spray paint everywhere and I think I topped it off with some kind of veneer or a gel/water mix, I forget.

      So basically, media used:
      - Wood
      - Acrylic paint
      - Spray paint
      - India Ink (you dip calligraphy-type pens into it)
      - Paper
      - Gel/water mix (just remembered the flower was smothered in it to make the wrinkles stay in place)

I have some other big wood pieces from the same class, I'll see if I want to snap some pics of them too.

Just discovered this thread. You have some serious talent, I especially like your drawing of the elk.

That is a hella great compliment, thank you.
Also, you've never ever really crossed my mind but a few minutes before I got onto DV, your username popped up in my mind, and it turns out you posted. Good stuff.
