Thread: Random Digital Art

I'm bored, so I'm just gonna post some of my art, my favourite pictures of all the art I've made.

First is Javi, he showed in a dream a few months ago....so obviously this picture is a bit old. XP

I know the pictures are totally different from each other, the reason is I change my style of drawing and shading constantly because I haven't found one that makes me actually proud of the picture I make...I always think I make completly failed and horrible pictures. *sigh* But oh well.

Don't get too down on yourself. You see when you're a kid you draw stick figures, and when you're a rock star, you can do realistic renderings of anything. Every artist kinda goes through their awkward ugly duckling sort of teenage years where they experiment with styles and are attempting to make things look realistic but don't quite get it yet. By the looks of it, your smack in the middle of that phase.

The important thing with art is that you challenge yourself to improve, both in terms of rendering and concept, have fun and enjoy the journey. Don't compare yourself to other artists, compete against yourself to do better than you did before.

Great pictures MeannCat. I like the design and coloring. : D Both of them look like interesting characters that I would want to find out more about too.

Well Leo's info is on his deviant art and I don't know much about Javi, he's just a really nice dreamcharacter I met once. ^^

I think both of those paintings are lovely! Totally love Javi!

As for you changing your style constantly, that is actually a good thing. I find that changing "styles" from time to time will actually help build my skill set. It makes you think differently about things, and how you approach problems. That fact that you are not satisfied with your work is also a good sign That's the only way to motivate yourself to keep getting better.

Keep it up! And post more paintings! Id love to see them.

I am gonna post more, either in this thread or the other one I made.

If I were you I would get on the hype train with me and DawnEye11 and just keep it in one thread. Its nice because the thread builds up like a portfolio, and it will get bumped to the top every time you update it.
