      Post Fruity Loops Stuff Here

I made this song using a Fruity Loops demo. It is sort of long, and gets better at the end, so make sure to listen all the way through.

      March of the Robots

Please give me some feedback, whether good or bad.

      Thanks

      Edit:

Post any of your fruity Loops songs you have created or even a small pattern. It doesn't neccesarraly have to be from Fruity Loops. It can be from any sort of program.

      Not bad at all, man.

I'm more into breakbeats than straight-beat trance, but I like the melody. Keep up the good work.

Hmm...I'll probably be posting a few of my own projects around here, as well.

Here are a few of mine. These are done with Fruity Loops alone, but as soon as I convert my Fruity Loops/ACID projects to postable formats I'll put them up here also. They are much better cause I can use samples with ACID that I can't use with fruity loops alone.

Also, got a question for ya Flinte. On your March of the Robots, when the song breaks at 1:26 and the synth sound comes in going (wada wada wada Woaaaaaww x4) does that instrument have a phaser on it, by itself? Or some other effect? If so, how the hell do you do that? I've been trying to add effects to a single pattern in FL, but all it does it effect the entire track, not just one instrument.

Wow, you're really good. A lot better than I can do. If you have more songs, post them!
      __________________________________________________ _________________
Sorry, can't help you out. I don't even own FL. I just use the demo version. I agree with you though. Every time I try to add some cool effect, it doesn't work. But the sinth I used was a 3x Osc called "Pilch Tech Lead". It is under "Channel Presets" then "3x Osc". There are no effects to it. It just normaly sounds like that.

Edit: Sorry, I just realized that I might have given you the wrong sinth. Try it out and see if it is. That is one of them in the song, but I'm not sure if it's the one you're looking for. I'm not really sure what the other sinths are, sorry. I don't have the full version so I can't save. Since I can't save, I can't look back at the song. If I do find the sinth again I'll let you know.

Here are some other songs I have:

Trapped Inside The Endless Factory (This song is just kind of cool beats witch all get mixed together and explode at the end)

Activate (This song is just a joke I made when I was bored... I was REALLY bored.)

      i like flinte. good progression.

oneironaut, your beats kick ass man.

you two have inspired me to download the demo (which i'm doing as i type this, and listening to one of oneironauts songs). i tried a noteworthy composer demo once but got too frustrated with the tediousness of transcribing notes (i don't have a keyboard) when i had the song already in my head.

i'll try to get something down though. i'm curious now as to what i can come up with using this. your guys' songs sound sweet...

eek. pretty confusing...but damn, you can add some cool timbre to notes. really deep and warm and fuzzy, or smooth and crisp...

but already i remember how frustrating it is to try and transcribe anything by mouse.
how do you guys imput your music? with a keyboard?

and if so, if i bought some cheap ass 24 key keyboard that is midi-compatible, do i need anything else to make it compatible with the FL demo? i'm pretty sure i don't have a midi port on my computer, but can you get a converter to plug into the USB port or something, and then plug the keyboard into that?

heh, don't mean to bug you guys, but i'm pretty well computer illiterate. if y'all know of a simple way to hook up a midi keyboard to my computer and use it to make some FL tracks, i'd be really grateful.

if its a complicated procedure, don't worry about it...just give me a virtual backhand

dammit though, i know i could make one of the songs i'm working on right now sound killer with some of those effects. i always get so frustrated at only being able to play one part at a time, and having no drums, bass, etc...

Thanks for the compliments, both of you.

To Flinte: When I get a chance, I'll check it out to see if that is the right instrument, but I remember seeing the one you're talking about. I don't know if I've used it or not, though. Also, when I get home, today, I check out the other two songs you have posted.

To Asher: I've got a keyboard at my house but I dunno how to hook it up either. Basically, what I do is get the basic melody on the keyboard, and then open up the "Piano Roll" option for the FL instrument I want to use. I'll hit Play so the pattern will go ahead and run and then start putting in the notes one at a time with the piano roll until I get the sound that matches what I was playing on the keyboard. It IS a little tedious, so if anyone has any info on how to import the keyboard, I'm all ears.

I have a lot to do tonight, so I may not get a chance to upload some of my other beats until sometime this weekend. I will, though.

Good luck, Asher, and keep the music comin, Flinte!

Alright. Finished up early so I went ahead and uploaded some more of my projects.
I like both of your new songs, Flinte. Even the 'jokish' one had pretty good use of FL's samples. It's funny how sometimes the most abstract experiments can come out interesting.

Alright, now most of these are hip-hop beats, so they are a little less progressive, but hopefully that doesn't take away from them, too much.
(Oh, and it turns out that PutFile adds numbers to duplicate filenames. None of the beat names should have numbers on them, but they do. ) Hope ya like 'em.

      Just Fruity Loops:
http://media.putfile.com/Are-You-Ready49 -got some Great lyrics written to this. Haven't recorded yet, though.
http://media.putfile.com/Higher62 - Messed up on the coversion. Song doesn' t start till about 00:25
      http://media.putfile.com/Ivory60
      http://media.putfile.com/Swing-Shi0t - A Personal Favorite.
      http://media.putfile.com/Hallucinogen
      And another progressive breakbeat:
      http://media.putfile.com/Transformation56

These are Fruity Loops / ACID projects and are a little more complete, everything but the listed samples is made with Fruity Loops.
      http://media.putfile.com/Altered-States
Samples used for this one: 1st Guitar Riff from a Korn/Deftones/ and I think Rage ATM collab song, 2nd Guitar Rift from Tool, winds (the one's you can barely hear when the bass kicks in) from an Enigma Song (forget the name)

      http://media.putfile.com/Essence-of-Woman
Female laughter from some free sfx site, bongos from a Jazz Song, and Flute from another Jazz song called "Ironside" if I'm not mistaken.

      http://media.putfile.com/King-of-Sorrow-Rmx
Breakbeat project added on to Sade's King of Sorrow (and who doesn't love Sade? )

[Edit: (right, like this is the first edit. lol.) Asher, what might help you out, since you don't have a keyboard is, if you have a mic, record yourself humming the melody that you've created in your head. Then you can play it back over and over while you transcribe the notes and you don't have to worry about losing the tune.]

WOW! Those are all really good! My favorites are Swing Shi0t, and Essence of Women. How long do your songs take you to make?
      __________________________________________________ ____________________
Here are some more songs. The first two are jokes, just like "Activate". Me and my freind made the first two. I was supposed to send them to him, and he was supposed to play them while he was playing Spiderman 2 to see how much they would piss him off, hahaha. Well anyway, don't take the first two offensive. Here they are:

      Failure Song

      Your Computer Sucks

      City Lights

Underwater Lights (This one has no beats. This is just a calming song I made for relaxation)

Theme Song (This is me and my friend's theme song that we play for when we run around the neighborhood/school like idiots.)

There might be some more coming soon if I feel like uploading or if anybody wants to hear some more songs.

      Enjoy!

      LOL @ "Gooooo Kiiiiillll Yourseeeelllllf."
      That shit was great.

And thanks, man. It's hard to say how long my songs take to make, because, just like my graphic art, I'll work on my projects for a while, put them down, do something else, and then come back to add more to the project I was doing before. But if I had to guesstimate, I'd say that in about a day (about 4-6 straight hours, which is about all I can devote at a time) I could have a kickass song put together.

I love the ambience of your "City Lights," and the "Theme Song" is my favorite one, so far.

Great stuff, man. Keep 'em comin.

Here are some more songs of mine. The first one was experimental, it's not really that good, the title basicly describes it.

      Weird

      Gameboy

Final Voyage (Four things about this song: It is kind of Orchestry, not as much techno; It is one of my favorites; I uploaded it as Final Vpyage, hahah; The title may be sort of cheesy, but me and my freind were trying to come up with a name for it, and that is what it reminded him of.)

Bells (This one is sort of s happy tune)

Sweet Ynot, that is so cool. You actualy use a moog (correct me if I'm wrong) for your music. That is awesome! If you have any more songs please post them because the first on was amazing! If you have any tips on how to make a cool melody, beat ect. please let me know. Thanks.

Here is another song by me. The ending everything mixes together, and it doesn't sound so great. Oh well, haha.

      Virtual Reality

Edit: After listening to it again, the ending REALLY does not sound so great...

Alright, sorry for the double-post, but here's the finished product.
Everything that wasn't in the original was made with FL.

Wow, all this stuff is great.

I just made a song that I think is a lot better than most of the ones I've posted lately, so here it is:

      Creating A.I.

OK, there you go. Please tell me what you think.

      Thanks

what instrument is the high pitched melody
      clavichord?

      anyway
where you've got it changing up in pitch (the de's)

      dada dada dadadada da da
      dede dede dededede de de
      dada dada dadadada da da
      dodo dodo dodododo do do

      I think you're going up a half-note too far
drop the de's to a flat note

but use the original de's (as they are) every 4th bar (as a cadence)

The drop pitches (do's) are fine

also try varying the melody (du's are the flat de's)

      (bar 1)
      dada dada dadadada da da
      dudu dudu dudududu du du
      dada dada dadadada da da
      dodo dodo dodododo do do
      (bar 2)
      dada dada dadadada da da
      dudu dudu dudududu du du
      dada dada dadadada da da
      dodo dodo dodododo do do
      (bar 3)
      dada dada dadadada da da
      dudu dudu dudududu du du
      dada dada dadadada da da
      dodo dodo dodododo do do
      (bar 4)
      dada dada dadadada da da
      dede dede dededede de de
      dada dada dadadada da da
      dodo dodo dodododo do do

also, make the basic kick / snare pattern more interesting
I've always hated - Bonk Ba Bonk Ba

When the high melody isn't playing
switch the low drums to mirror the pattern

      BonkBonk BonkBonk BonkBonkBonkBonk Ba Ba

Hope all that makes some kind of sense
