There was a boy. You probably think you know this story, as every one of my stories starts with a boy. Well this is my first story.
There was this boy, he was eight and one day old. Eight, growing and hungry. Nine was still scared, but the boy really just wanted his cornflakes.

This was typical of the child to ask in the mornings and was greeted with a warm grin and the typical answer, full with a southern hick accent to boot.
What came next was not the typical morning routine.

Why the fuck don't we have cornflakes? I've been asking for three years straight.

The mother of the wisened child stopped. And fainted.

Without even an uttered word, there was a scraping of wood against the tiles as father got out of his seat and raised his hand.
