Ask me about sleeping in a hammock

I've been at it for a month or so, not super long, but long enough to know I like it.

I sleep in a Mayan hammock, the ones we're familiar with with stretcher bars are not suitable for sleeping in.

Can't say yet if it has any effect on LDs, because I got bad about doing RCs and LD techniques right around the time I started hammock sleeping. Now that I'm back doing RCs again I am curious if I'll have more or fewer LDs than before.

That actually sounds pretty nice I got to say! I would like to have that as an option too. Do you have any back problems from this? And do you have a regular bed too? And the last but maybe most important question.. Is it possible to get some action in that thing if you got a partner with you?

The back problem thing comes up a lot and the answer is no I have no back problems from it and I think if you do it the right way you should not get back problems (a lot of people think it's better for your back than a bed but I haven't seen any research on that, there is research though that people fall asleep faster in hammocks and that seems to be true for me too). But there are wrong ways to do it that could be bad for you, like stringing it up too tight and sleeping curved like a banana. If you do it right (loose hammock and sleep in it diagonally) your back should be pretty flat.

I don't have a regular bed right now because I just moved out and started my first job and I decided to try hammock sleeping as a way to put off buying a real bed so I could buy other things first I do plan to get a real bed but I'll probably continue to do my sleeping in the hammock. I haven't tried it personally but you could get action in the hammock if you don't need to roll around and change position too much. I think it would be a little boring relatively but trying it out once or twice might be exotic enough to be fun. The Mayans were known to have sex in their hammocks (and also sleep in them for their whole lives without developing back issues).

Hehe that's so nice! I can imagine that sleeping in a hammock could be easier on the back because it forms around you in another way than a bed do or not do. I use to laying in very transportable hammock and reading when the summer comes. My hammock is made of parachute fabric, so it does forms itself around the body in a nice way. I have never tried to sleep in it before, but I believe it would be as nice as a regular bed.

Hehe I see. Well that is a very creative way to get youself a cheap and less clumsy sleeping spot right there.^^ Hehe yeah some hammock action would probably not be to bad after all. And definetley better than nothing.^^

Hey speaking of hammocks, here is one I like. Made by Hammock.
