I doubt you'll get any one's "most controversial view" here. And it's best that way. Why would we want to open up a big can of worms and start huge fights over nothing? Oh wait, that's what we do in every thread. Still, you'll not hear mine but I'll show my agreement with some others:

Same here. I try to be kind, civil and treat people with respect but, I don't generally take the most diplomatic route and I often come across as an @sshole for it. Oh well, love me or hate me - the choice is yours.

So true. Only the most commercial bullcrap makes it to the airwaves. And that in itself is a surprise since you'd think that GOOD stuff would be what's "commercially well-suited" but you'd be wrong. The foolish masses eat crap like it's candy. I don't see who could possibly enjoy crap flavored candy but, it goes to show the power of being force-fed sh!t.

ALL government.
So very true. I think government serves a very worthy purpose. But I also see that governments are out to grow themselves and become the "saviors (read: controllers) of the people". Though they are almost never truly the saviors of anything except their own agendas and preservation.
I'm Conservative to the core. I believe that government needs to step back, scale back and quit trying to tell me what the hell I can and can't do. Rules are rules, yes. I respect and welcome rules. But I also respect that limits to the government's power and say-so must be kept in check. You give them an inch - they take a mile. You cave to one tax increase - they pile on more. You allow them to abuse their power - they never back down.
