Thread: Tell me about the meaning of Cool.

Around here cool would be considered being a huge drunk or druggie who goes on benders and sleeps with anything that moves. I don't know why that is.

If truth must be known I prefer to hang with the nerdy types, they usually make better conversation than the alleged cool folks.

So to me, cool is being intelligent and having the ability to hold a conversation outside of topics of who's doing who and who did what while they were high.

Cool is being comfortable with yourself no matter the circumstance.

High self-esteem, high self-confidence, socially adept.

Vex, I agree with you on both points there. Hehe, in a way you could say this site is full of desprite bastards. And I think the fact that 'nerds' are better to keep a conversation with is because they arn't trying to 'pwn' you secretly.

Well, onto my view. I was told that cool is being yourself and not anything or anyone else. That is all, I guess that includes being unique, unique is cool!

Also, both my brothers are cool. They act natural, they don't pretend to like urban music. They don't act differently near their mates, they're laid back. They're cool.

Anyways, someone cool here needs the following qualities:

- Easy-going.
- Respect for self and others.
- A certain "quality" that makes him/her stand out, usually a unique personality trait.
- Has had many cool experiences.
- Isn`t boastfull/has a propotionately sized ego.

Ahh, but wait. One more thing, I can't say that there are no bad people like that on here though. Some people I just have to say that about, let's just say that some people are.

Cool is a term used by people with a lack of adjectives to describe interesting/good things about anything. :S That is what makes it so easy to use, and why it is so widely used.
