Tell me about gore

Since a young age I've had a fascination with 'gore',the dictionary saysthat gore is: Bloodshed, Coagulated blood, Carnage and Butchery. So I'm wondering, why do I have such a fascination with gore? Since my teenage years I've always loved it, I frequent a website called D*********g R*****y... which has Death Videos, Death Pictures and several other forums. It's been so long that I'm fully desensitized(sp?) yet the fasination remains. So to get to the point... do you enjoy gore? and do you know why I do? p.s. As far as I know I'm a mentally healthy adult, no craziness to think of. p.p.s. By the way I don't mean fake, movie gore... I'm talking real videos of people being killed. Like executions, suicides, murders, car accidents, autopsies, animal attacks etc.
