I-doser definately gives some effects but not really what your looking for, i |

My friend gave me a run down about these things yesterday. So I've been getting some mp3s of the doses from I-doser to try out. Can someone give me some tips to do these, what they are actually supposed to do, and maybe some interesting doses to try? Thanks. |

Five different threads that have to do with binaural beats on DV. The search function turns up plenty of others on top of these. They ought to answer your question. |

They can help you meditate. I-Doser may have effects but it doesn't work nearly like they advertize. |

Maybe binaural mp3s can't work, because the mp3 lossy compression ruins the delicate phase variences that make binaural beats work? Most of the people who do report binaural successes were listening to wave files. |

That's actually just a myth, binaural beats converted to mp3 work fine unless theyre extremely low quality. If you really don't think so there are tools to test this (BAVSA) but it'd be a waste of time because I and others have done it to disprove the myth. |

Why bother downloading a binaural beat mp3 anyways, when there is free source code available for simple apps that generate binaural wav files? Or for the non-programming inclined, there are freeware/shareware apps to make binaural waves. |

And I have a really good sound system. |

Binaurals have drawbacks...you HAVE to wear headphones or earbuds, for starters. They also aren't as powerful as isochronic tones, which I prefer. They can be made in 15 minutes in the free program Audacity. If you feel like being creative, you can even add your own sound and music files to the mix. I've created some interesting ones doing this, including several 30-minute "entrainment" files. Brain wave entrainment is how binaurals and isochronics work. The theory is that they affect the frequency at which your brain operates and put it more in line with what is typical of dreaming and lucid dreaming. |
