Try changing the timing of your WBTB. Move it 15 minutes in either direction every night for the next week until you find a sweet spot. How long do you stay awake, and what do you do? I recommend getting out of bed, but not doing anything that involves too much light or movement. No computer, no TV, no gameboy. Just read a book about dreaming in some low incandescent light, or sit in the dark and look out the window thinking about dreaming. Don't stay up for more than a few minutes if you have a hard time getting back to sleep.

When I really can't get to sleep, I use reverse blinking. For whatever reason, it drops me into sleep immediately.

I have this same problem too. At nights, its hard for me to get to sleep, and when I wake up during the night, its hard for me to get back to sleep! But I have found that taking 3mg of melatonin before bed fixes those problems.

Another thing you might want to try is meditating before bed, as this has helped me calming my mind before sleep.

Another thing that you might want to look into is Isochronic Tones. I listen to them before going to bed some nights and it really relaxes me. Heres a link to a forum topic: http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/testin...chronic-98776/

But I have a question for Robot Butler: Do you have to get up for a proper WBTB? Like is it actually more productive if you get out of bed and do something? Because I never get out of bed. I just turn of the alarm and try to go right into a WILD. I have never been successful at WILDing, but I have never thought that getting OUT of bed and doing a small, simple task would actually be PRODUCTIVE. What do you think?
"Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?"

Renzokuken, it could be the case that because LDing is new to you (I see you joined in July so assume LDing is new to you ) you are too excited about the prospect of LDing to get back to sleep again. I had this problem at first but that has worn off now and I can get back to sleep again (though I can only stay up a few minutes or I can't get back to sleep.)
My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.
