I have similar problems. Either I don't stay awake long enough for it to have an effect, or I stay up for too long and I find it really difficult to get back to sleep. |

I know WBTB is supposed to better your chances at becoming lucid but i just cant get it to work. i always don't stay up long enough because the first time i did it i became too awake after 45 minutes and didnt get anymore sleep which sucked because i had school later that day. the other times i get up it's usually only about 5 minutes but then i fall asleep to quickly. What are ways i can stay up without becoming too awake. |

Give me the night!
Let me be me for one last time!
It depends on your goal that you have in mind for why you WBTB. What I mean is that if you are WILDing, then you should stay up slightly longer so you do not pass out. if you are MILDing or some other technique that you don't have to be aware for, stay up shorter. that includes DILD because for that, you just need to get up briefly and do a few RC's and think about LDing and then go back to sleep. |
