Smile LUCID DREAMING technique never heard before!

i heard it from a guy on YouTube. I'll try to get a link. anyway, what he said to do is take 40 slow, deep breaths when relaxed, and sort of tired. So then I know this is weird, but imagine the most painful feeling you can starting at your toes then work your way up the body. then take 20 more deep breaths. make sure your eyes are closed the entire time. thenyou shoukd get sort of a heavy feeling, and you feel a semi sleep paralysis, but you can still wake yourself, but you feel REM even though you are half awake. the surrounding sounds near you will fade away and it's sorta like WILD. try it! it worked so well. I haven't lucid dreamed get, cuz I kept freaking out, but the guy has a ton. please tell me your results! thank you!

Where's the video? It sounds just like WILDing though.

This is nothing special! .. Taking the deep breaths, people who WILD do this as the main factor of changing their body and relaxing. The focusing on the pain is just another means to keep your mind occupied and prevent it from dozing off.

You can do this and get the exact same results:

Take 40 slow deep breathes. With each breath, count your ABC, and think of a word that starts with that letter. "A=Apple, B=Balloon". But you can only move to the next letter when you finish a breath. Do your ABS twice. Once done, Take another 20 deep breathes.

There is absolutely nothing special about his method. It is simply a WILD, just with different mental methods on staying awake.

I'm not so sure. When I find myself in SP, entering a dream, I do get a strange sensation. The closest thing I can compare it to is pain but it's not necessarily painful (if that makes any sense). I imagine this technique is designed to induce the sensation artificially and trick your brain into transitioning you into SP.

Many people who experiece the onset of SP, or prior "tests" will have many different feelings... Body rushes, aches, pains, sharpness, tingles, floating, moving, etc etc
