Start to get nervous while WILD'ing

Yesterday night I attempted to WILD. I have an app for the iPhone called i-Dose, which is a binaural brain wave app. It certainly helped get closer to lucidity, however I began to freakout. I was laying there and I began to feel numbness throughout my body. Soon enough I began feeling light-headed and felt as if I was spinning. While all of this was going on, my breathing increased and so did my heart-rate. I started getting really nervous and the feeling of being light-headed slowly faded. I tried again but I just couldn't attain that feeling again. Also at some point when I did not feel my body and my head began to spin my hand moved by itself, I was not intending to move it, nor was I thinking of doing it, which was really weird . Any tips, pointers?

On a side note, just saw Inception, great movie.

Well fellow dreamer, i hope i can help you solve this mistery a bit for you.
First off, i used idozer many times and i can tell you that the spinning feeling in your head came from the difference between the beats. If you shift your focus just right, you get cought up in the waves as they go up and down. Atleast that's what i discovered from my experience. It probably had nothing to do with the WILDing. You couldn't get the feeling again cause you focused on it too much. But this feeling does you no good, other than fun spinning around anyway When you lie down listening a beat for 30 minutes, you get atleast partial paralisis, so that explains why you couldn't feel your body. Your hand probably just twitched, nothing serious. Mine moved by a lot on its own many times.

If you want to try WILD, you need a different approach, the dose was designed to help you achieve lucidity or atleast vivid dreams after you listen to it and go to bed. How to WILD is pretty much written over the whole forum and i haven't gotten it down yet, so i can't tell you all about it. BillyBob's tutorial should answer many of your questions: http://www.dreamviews.com/f74/how-lucid-dream-55740/
