      Having trouble becoming lucid lately...

I've had some success with lucid dreaming and astral projection in the past (Maybe a total of 6-10 LDs, 2 OBEs), but I've been in a slump lately. I am constantly doing reality checks every day, but this doesn't seem to be training my Sub-Conscious to do checks when I'm dreaming.

I don't try to WBTB very much. I will wake up at 5 or 6 in the morning, and I will do mantras ("I am Lucid" ... "I am dreaming"...) and practice awareness as I'm falling back asleep, but I never become lucid after that. My dreams are relatively vivid, but not lucid.

Any dreamers out there have any tips or tricks to get out of ruts? Any "jump start", surefire methods to regain lucidity?

My advice would be to keep trying. You might have a dryspell, this happens sometimes. You'll get back to it soon. Just keep on writing dreamjournal, and look for dreamsigns and your gonna have LDs again.
