Question MILD and dream journal question

      hi i have 2 questions

      1. Mantras always keep me awake when i try to mild and i honestly find them a pain in the ass so is there another way to do the mild without a mantra? or is that essential for one.

2.Ok so i have natural dream recall, before i started LDing i could remember at least one dream a night and even more, so a dream journal is just a pain in the ass , so would it really affect me if i didn't keep a dream journal since i have natural dream recall?

      any help is appreciated

An alternative method is to repeat the mantras for a few minutes before getting into bed, but it has to be the last thing that you do. Sit in a comfortable position and focous on your mantras, then go to sleep and try to clear your mind.

I never use a manta... I ask myself periodically during the day 'am I awake or in a dream' . Sometimes I find myself asking the same question in a dream which then becomes lucid. To lucid dream I use simple visualization techniques , thereby stimulating the secondary visual cortices in my occipital lobe. This is the same area where dreams occur. We visualize and dream in the secondary visual cortex. About a dream journal... I have one but I also have a bedside recorder that works better for me as it is faster then writing down the experience.

You can also say your mantra throughout the day. I find the more you say it and pay attention to the meaning, the more you LD.
