      Help and Advice

Well you see, It seems that when i dream its like a movie, everything just happens and i have no control over it at all.
So how am i suppose to become lucid if i can't make myself do anything? I can't reality check, cause i have no control over anything..

Hmm interesting question. If you do reality checks enough during the day it will become a habit. It will also increase your awareness. This combo should help you to be aware enough in dreams to become lucid. If that doesn't work you could try MILD or WILD techniques.

I also suggest you give a quick look at your past dreams you remember and try to find a dreamsign (or reoccuring item, being, or setting) then you should do a reality check( in real life) whenever you see or are reminded of your dreamsign. Sometimes it helps if you visualize before you sleep as well! good luck! if you still encounter problems let us know!

Thank you for the link, i am going to definately try and figure out some of my dream signs but so far i don't see any, and another question. Is it hard to lucid dream? I mean i want to get to the point to where i have atleast one a night. Im sure its difficult but achievable. Im already seeing progress with my dreams as i went from remembering none to 3 days in a row.

Nice I get my B6 from bananas as well! it also helps to just lie in bed in the position you woke up in and question yourself if you didnt recall your dream. so something like how did i feel when i first woke up, what was I doing in that location (in the dream if its a fragment)? Nice, you're off to a good start keep it up! you'll be pretty soon! just don't overwork things alright?

It takes some good training (time varies for people), but with that time it becomes easier, I nearly had a lucid my first day back here at DV (I'm a returning member)! all it takes is a bit of time, dedication, practice, concentration and observation and you'll start getting more lds

Sometimes people are either stressed from attempts or from something else and it lowers chances to recall dreams and becoming lucid at the time. I started back in 07 and have been on and off, but now plan on staying with it every night no matter what. I had my first ld within 3 weeks of starting. I have only had 8 lucids, but even during a period I was not attempting whatsoever I had 3 LD's over 3 months and thats pretty good for not trying and not being well trained. I hope to get into the swing of things and start having an LD every week soon. it's all about progress though so keep up with that dream journal, and maybe use tags or note reappearing things so you know your dreamsigns and how often they appear in your dreams.

No problem I'm not entirely sure, you're the one who has to figure out some people only get 0 to 2 a month, some get crazy numbers of LDS like 62 in one month. I think I remember someone going lucid 25 times in one day(kinda crazy right?)! It varies from person to person, so it's up to you to find out!
