      Dream Controller App

Hey all.. I read about this app yesterday but I can't find the thread. Firstly, thank you to whoever introduced me to it and I just want to share this find with everyone else who many not have read the previous thread. First night of trying it out gave me my 4th and best lucid dream yet.

If you have an iphone/itouch I really advise you check this app out, it's called Dream Controller and it works by asking you 'am I dreaming?' etc whilst you are asleep. It's a little more clever than that, you put in the time you are going to sleep e.g. 12, and the time you are going to wake e.g. 8 and the app will automatically start prompting you during the later stages of sleep. Some of you may have already tried a similar audio cue, but this really worked for me...during a dream I heard the lady say 'am i dreaming' and voila! I immediately became lucid and performed a few reality checks =D

...one word of advice...the app gives you an option for setting how many messages you want the lady to give and I foolishly set it on 40....about 25 too many times! When I woke up from a dream it seemed like she was asking me every few minutes which was incredibly annoying when trying to fall back to sleep!

      Good luck!

Yeh just started looking into the binaural/iso beats, there's loads of great app's which allow combinations of relaxing music and beats so that's pretty exciting.

I found the original thread for the Dream Controller: http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/ipod-i...-night-109174/

My bad for not seeing that! Nemind

The feeling I get with this app is that it takes some experimentation to get the volume and number of messages right. Also the phone vibrates with every message which might wake you up so I'd suggest putting your phone on something soft to quieten the buzz.

What is your guy's opinion on it so far? Has it worked?

I have this app and I can't get it to work for me. Either I find something to explain the voice in my dream (like a machine that repeats 'this is a dream' over and over) or my earbuds fall out and I don't hear the message.
      Which leads me to...
Do you, the people that use this app, use it with earbuds/headphones, or do you use it without?

Well like using dream signs the more you experience them and the greater importance you place on them as a prompting for testing reality eventually that will translate into lucid response. If you're hearing it in a dream but your logic is not activated perhaps keep trying it and telling yourself when you're falling asleep that when you hear a dream related question you will reality check. That's my advice but I'd suggest checking out the original thread iPhone/iPod app that made me lucid and see if someone has the answer there.

      Good luck!

I've only had success using headphones. The earbuds are quite annoying, so I use big around ear headphones. I think this may also help by cancelling ambient noise, and isolating the "You Are Dreaming" voice. Both times I've kept the headphones on all night I've become lucid.

Great app for me so far, and the updates have only made it better.

Thank you for your answer on that. I will try wearing my big headphones tonight. I find them a bit awkward because I have to sleep on my back with them (usually I sleep on my side) but I'll try it out anyway.
Side note - did you get the most recent update? What do you think of it? Just curious because most of those voices are mine.. lol

Those are you!? Such a great voice So much better than the generic computer-lady..

Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to try the app again since the latest update, but I surely will tonight. I'm also a side sleeper at heart, but I can make the back or stomach work when I have the big headphones on. I think it's important you're comfortable in any case, so you don't take them off during the night without thinking about it

Haha.. yep that's me. It's strange falling asleep and hearing my own voice in my half dreaming half not state. So far still no dice for me, I think it's a lot to do with having to sleep on my back. Anyway, here's hoping my voice gets YOU lucid!! Good luck and keep us updated on how it goes

The updates on this application are really making it better and better. I am using it more and I do think that though it hasn't gotten me lucid yet, I'm getting close. I think you're right about the logic problem, pringles. I'm going to keep at it.

I can't get this app because I have a Droid but I have an alarm app with auto-turn-off that I can record my voice for. What volume do you guys suggest I have it on?

Ohhh this has happened before.. did you check the original thread about this topic? Read through it here and see if it helps... specifically post number 56 were JV says:

Ah, I finally figured it out. Turns out it wasn't a software setting it was a hardware setting.
Sorry for the trouble, I can finally use this tonight.
