Biggest Dry Spell..

Okay, well, maybe not THE biggest dry spell of lucids ever - but this is beginning to really frustrate me!

After the New Year period, my sleep cycle got thrown out, Ive spent the last month resetting it, and recalling dreams fine - but no matter what, when I try WBTB, WILD etc, I cannot whatsoever attain lucidity! Its beginning to really frustrate me..

And ideas, or simply keep trying?

just keep trying and keep positive. Is your LD count is up to date, because after i had 5 to 10 LDs I had a pretty big dry spell, I would even dream about telling people about lucid dreaming but would never figure out i was dreaming. It lasted 2 1/2 weeks or so for me, now I'm starting to average 1 a week.

a tip from personal experiences, avoid sex until you have LDing down. Ive wasted like 15 LDs because of it. It might be different for you though. also what is the longest LD you have had

try a little less. It may sound stupid, but i had a 1 1/2 week dry spell (ok not that big, but its big for me). i was RC constantly then the next few days i didn't RC at all and then had a lucid. Just give that a try

I had a dryspell for about 2 weeks too WITHOUT any recall whatsoever. Just hang in there and it'll come back!

Yep, my LD count is up to date - sounds about the same as you then! Im sure itll come back in no time.

Yip, in a long-distance relationship, so I basically HAVE to avoid sex anyway. Hahaha - dont remind me.

The longest LD Ive had isnt too long - probably about 5-10minutes Dreamtime - the past few nights Ive started to perfect my sleep paralysis, so hopefully some night soon I will be able to transition over!

Also, I did stop my WBTB routine - where I had most of my lucid success - and plan on starting it up again tonight (was doing night shift at work) so will post back here in a while, hopefully with good results!

I hate dry spells. I find that most of the time they're caused by not increasing my awareness before doing reality checks. Are you taking a good 5-10 seconds to look around the room and ask yourself if you're dreaming before you RC? Try that for a couple weeks and see if that helps.

Also, some reality checks don't work for some people, but the one I've had 100% success with so far is the nose plug technique, so in my opinion you should switch to that, if even just temporarily.
