Well, going to sleep at 2 AM is way too late. Try going to sleep at around 10 or 11 and waking up at 4 or 5 latest. At 8, you're more alert and awake, and then it is way too hard to go back to sleep. You want to be in a very low brainwave state so you can still be sleepy when going back to bed. Try it again, but at around the times I said before.
