Thread: How do I increase chances of a DILD?

Hey guys, I'm still quite new to all this and don't reli know much.. I've tried WILD/WBTB loads of times and I'm not having much success atm but I'm gonna still continue to do it.
In the mean time, how can I increase my chances of having a DILD before I wake up to WILD/in general? I've had 2 DILD's in the past, but purely by chance, my first ever LD (since my interest in it, and that I can re-call) being on 4/2/11 and my 2nd being the tuesday the week before yesterday.

There are serveral things you can do to increase your chances.

• Keep a dream journal daily if you aren't already.
• Reality check.
• Look for dream signs.

Those are the best things you can do for DILD.

Could you go into detail about RCing and DS's pls?
'Cause atm I've wrote 'A' on my right hand to signify 'awake' and I reality check whenever I look at it (try to push finger through hand, close 1 eye and check to see if I can see my nose, then do it with the other eye, pinch my nose and see if I can breathe through it, and sometimes randomly jump around to see if I can levitate/fly) am I doing it right.. or?
And I don't really get the whole DS thing.

Ok for reality checks it sounds like you are doing well. Just remember to always focus on why you are doing the reality check. Don't just go through the motions.

Dream signs are things that appear frequently in your dreams. Like certain people, places, things. You can reality check when you see them.

There was an article I was reading recently about people who have nightly lucid dreams. One of them said that the biggest thing they do is constantly asking themself "where am I and how did I get here?" If you can keep up the habit of asking yourself what you've been doing for the last 5 minutes you'll greatly increase your chances of a DILD.
