      WBTB without an alarm

I want to do WBTB's but I want to wake up without an alarm clock because I don't want to wake up everyone in my house. Is it possible to do this? How can I time it so that I wake up in/before REM?

use auto-suggestion. its actually really effective if you put your mind to it. you wake up a few times in the night and forget about it, but you can set an intent to notice when you wake up, and do whatever from there. doing auto-suggestion is pretty simple, its the same as going to bed thinking that you have to remember to do something in the morning, and then as soon as you wake up you remember what you had to do.

If auto suggestion doesn't work for you, you can try a few other things. Wear socks to bed and use a cell phone on vibrate and put it in your sock. If you don't have access to a cell phone, you can try to drink a bunch of fluids before bed and you will wake up naturally to relieve yourself. Good luck to you!

Tried auto suggestion, worked like a charm. Thanks both of you for helping out

No problem! Auto-Suggestion can be very effective in the world of lucid dreaming. Many have used it to become lucid as well. Since it worked well for you in waking up, you may want to give the, "I will become lucid tonight," a go as well.

Since I started to WBTB, I rarely even need to put an alarm anymore. I wake up naturally after every dream. Woke up four times today.
Don't overdose with water, should you try it.
