Hi Noddy! Welcome to the forums.

When it comes to SP, it's different for everyone. Because we all fall asleep at different rates, we all hit SP at different times. It can even vary for one person depending on how tired they are. Sometimes I hit SP within minutes, but other times I'm laying there for a half hour. Practicing WILDs helps more than anything, and being patient with it, too.

You may want to try WILD after having a few more hours of sleep next time. When you're too tired, you will tend to fall asleep faster. Try practicing WILDs on days that you can sleep in--that way you can wake up after like 6-8 hours, and then try it. The trick there is finding that window where you're tired enough to fall back asleep, but awake enough to hold on to consciousness while you fall asleep.

It helps me to visualize myself already in a dream when I try to WILD. Sometimes I go right to the dream without hitting SP at all that way.

Maybe eat a "big" snack before going to bed? That way, your internals are active with digestion and then the digestion of the food will keep your body away enough to get to SP (I know some people can't eat before bed because it causes them to stay awake)

Also, mantras or counting breaths can keep your mind awake enough to get into SP without falling asleep. I find that sometimes, even when I'm not that tired, I'll conk out after a few mins. Oh well, haha

well i find it pretty hard aswell to be honest

but are you trying it at night with no sleep just as you get into bed or after a few hours sleep already which is the wake back to bed teqnuiqe ( sorry about my spelling :O )

ive also heard maybe drinking some tea/coffee before bed may help... some say it does other's dissagree . Really its just finding what works for you which may take some time

try laying in a diffrent position to normal aswell for it.. like if you sleep on your back then go on your side and try to get into sp same other way around ofc

and once again another amazing helpfull comment from lucidness ..suprised i cant see atleast 5new topics he has opened on this page today as there usually is .

      anyway good luck .
