Champix / Chantix and Lucid Dream Experiences?

For those who don't know, Champix (as it is called here in Asia) is a stop smoking drug which kills the cravings for cigarettes. As with most prescription medications, it has some side effects. Most notably, disruption in my sleep and lucid dreaming. I've been on the drug for about 3 weeks now and haven't smoked for over 1 week.

I was curious if anyone else has experience with continued use of Champix (well for at least 2 more months). I would like to know if my sleep routine will go back to normal while on the Champix or if I will need to wait until I get off it.

Last night I dreamt that I saw the Northern Lights and then they miniaturized into a small ball of light that whisked into my house and settled in my living room light. I went to get my camera and then the light zapped me between the eyes and I lost all muscle function on the right side of my face - similar to a stroke I guess.

      Weird stuff.

Hmm, I'm not familiar with Champix. That is a pretty trippy dream experience though . When I was in elementary school I had "Bell's Palsy" for a couple weeks and one entire side of my face was paralyzed, lol. This reminded me of that.

Champix is a stop smoking aid that reduces or eliminates the cravings for cigarettes. Before that was Zyban but it was an anti-depressant and so it also had its fair share of side effects. Generally with Champix, you should only experience negative side effects for a couple of weeks until your body gets used to it. It will still upset my stomach if I take it on an empty stomach and I still have weird dreams. Last night my air conditioner was making weird noises which I thought, in my semi-sleep state, was a nest of bats drinking from the run-off of the A/C. I even dreamt I got up, in the dark, opened the back door to check the air conditioner and 3 bats flew into my house. I had to swat them down and squeeze them to death - then I just left them on the floor for my gf to find in the morning. I even woke up early in the morning and asked my gf if I left to go kill some bats in the middle of the night.
Some of these dreams are sure to be caused by the withdrawal of nicotine from my system.
All in all, its a product that works if you can stand whatever side effects you may have.
