My way to meditate and increase awareness

      Hello,fellow dreamers!

I'm pretty new on this forum, but i have been on many other. So i was looking for a way to increase awareness and i found one which works for me. I have read about ADA on this forum and yoshis posts,I know that it's not possible to focus on few senses at once. Also you can check one sense by one,but I'm not sure if it's possible to do that all day.. (at least for me) How can you work or enjoy your time with friends when you're focusing on so much things?

I started searching for meditation tutorials,I was also looking for lucid dreamers who meditate.. It was so frustrating to keep concentrated on one thing,it wasn't enjoyable for me. And one day,I found a guy who taught me,he said he had same experiences and ect..

You don't have to be focused on one thing when you're meditating. Dreams are very unstable,so why should you focus on one thing ? You have to be aware of yourself, how you feel and of your thoughts. You don't even need to close your eyes, turn of TV or lights. Just sit down in position you feel comfortable and be with yourself. The first time i tried that,i thought when was last time, when i was with myself ? I always watch TV,play computer games, working or talking on phone. I'm day dreaming all day long! Thoughts will start flowing through your head be aware of them, that's also a good way to train your short term memory. You should be at present moment as much as you can,but don't force yourself.. More you'll do that, easier it will get. You'll be able to meditate while walking or doing your things.. All you need is to be yourself and be aware of yourself. (Sorry for my english )

I may have to try this, usually I have to turn off everything before meditating. Thanks for sharing!

I've heard of walking meditation....seems like all meditation really is is being present...here and now. And that's what ADA seems to really boil down to, as well. If I'm very aware of me and my surroundings IWL, I'll recognize when it's not reality. Today I've been noticing that there are details in daily life that I don't ever see in dreams, like peripherial sight, the feel of a breeze, temperature in general....things that I feel when I'm awake in the real world. I've been focusing on these things and staying alert to the present moment. TOnight will be my first LD! (that's my mantra for the day )
